Foxes, because they are so foxy, have many more opportunities to be promiscuous than do dogs. Ipso facto foxes are more likely to be carriers. Dogs, while perhaps not quite as fetching as a bushy-tailed zorra, as les likely to leave you a souvenir. In my limited experience.

Foxes are dope.

I’m pretty sure I have one hanging around here, getting into my garbage. I never see him, tho.

I used to read Farley Mowat, foxes are the basis of many of his short stories. They have more of a spiritual element than other wildlife in a Canada..

Are you sure its not TrashPanda? He's missing from the city for a while. Its rumoured he has gone north to hunt those tundra turflickers or something.

When everyone’s healthy, the Leafs should do this.

Trade Nylander and Loljegren for Hjarmalsson, Crouse, and Raanta.

Call up Sandin and Marchment.

Mikheyev Matthews Marner
Hyman Tavares Kapanen
Johnsson Kerfoot Moore
Crouse Spezza Marchment

Rielly Hjarmalsson

Carolina got into the 3rd round playing "soft" hockey.

Get a team identity and play to your strengths well. Then have a hot goalie and you have a good chance at the cup.

Last year?

Its what most on here would call "soft"

I don't think they played soft at all.

If you watched them in the regular season at all they were in the eyes of most on here.... soft.

I'm not trashy.
Well maybe after a few giddypops.

I think perhaps last night was the best all around team effort by the Leafs this season.

But Tanner says he's merely a backup. That guy is never wrong!

Did he? I know EK made a hilariously bad blog saying that stupid poop, but I didn't think more than one person who "contributes" to this site could have such an amazingly bad opinion of one of the better goalies in the entire league.

Pretty much, the media and fans overblow everything.

Every year there is a new way you have to do it in order to win a cup.

One year you need the best defense.

The next year you need the best goalie.

Then the next its load managment.

Then you need to win a certain amount of games on a Tuesday night,

- Santo_44

Basically, whoever wins the cup the media and fans announce that's the WAY to win a cup. The issue is the next year it's adifferent type of team. People have already forgotten the Pens teams that won back to back cups with great talent and poor D.

I’m pretty sure Pittsburgh didn’t overpay their top players, and they played physical.

Also, having the best player in a generation in his prime helped.

Why is that even relevant when the Leafs have more depth than they had? Laso, the cap is much higher now and at the time of the deals, the $ for Crosby and Malkin were the highest in the NHL.

And no, they did not play very physical at all. And the Leafs D EASILY beats that Pens 2nd cup year.

And want to tell me again how NYlander is overpaid?

The dumb thing about the view of the Leaf "Overpaying" their top player is guys ho signed for -3 year are going to be paid more than Matthews and Marner when their deals are up. I really had to laugh when people compared Marner's cap hit on a 6 year deal to Laine's on a 2 year deal and did not mention the term

What do people expect Laine's cap hit to be in 2 years when the cap exceeds 90 million and he puts up huge production?

well what do you “call soft”? I’d call it star players, including the goalie getting laid out and injured, semi regularly over the last few seasons, and right after it happens, the rest of the team coasting around, bent over and avoiding eye contact because they’re little soft as slime pencil necks who are either too scared of the opponent, getting hurt or their coach to stick up for their teammates🤦‍♂️

I’d call it not finishing checks of any kind really🤦‍♂️

I’d call it not giving enough of a (frank) about the team or winning the game to back check 🤦‍♂️

either way, they have lacked moral and/or physical courage in that regard 🤦‍♂️

apparently, dermott is our policeman now as he got the first fighting major of the season, which is an embarrassment for North American hockey and must be some sort of record this far into the season unless they hold it from last year🤦‍♂️

what a (frank)ing joke 🤦‍♂️
