Mdc maybe but at least leo has some grit to his game and gets under the opponent's skin. Mdc plays ok d but he doesnt really do anything

I’m still looking for the grit everyone talks about?

Is it really that bad playing in two building for a little while and especially when it's mostly at the Coli? It's still NY and you have the better team and better front office and coach. I'm so impressed Durant and Irvin picked the Nets over the Knicks. It does look like the beginning of a rink. Hopefully I get to go.

Tough to say, but if you were getting offers for similar money from other teams (some who reside in lower income tax states), that's probably something that may factor in to your decision. I don't think guys are appalled by the idea, I just think that if you're making a pro's and con's list, that's going to be an extra 'con' for the Isles that doesn't exist anywhere else in the league.

I'd love him, but I also don't hate the idea of just beefing up that third line with a bit more offensive firepower. We already excel at rolling all four lines and if they add, say, Pageau and Toffoli then that is a god damn great looking top-9 with the fourth line doing their thing.

Imagine:

Lee-Barzal-Eberle
Beau-Nelson-Brassard
Bailey-Pageau-Toffoli
Martin-Cizikas-Clutterbuck

Might not be sexy but that is a really well balanced line-up, which seems to thrive under Trotz.

Going to be very interesting to see what the Isles decide. Will Lou be afraid to not bring in the sure fire top 6 player? One thing is for sure, I would bet the farm Lou is making some sort of deal this year even if the Isles go undefeated until the deadline.

Leo might be the worst hockey player in the league. Who cares if he gets under people’s skin. So does Clutterbuck so Leo is useless in my book and Trotz is starting to realize that

I totally understand Isles not be the #1 landing spot but if you want to be in NY, I'm signing with the better team with the better GM and coach. Sorry I'm not picking Gorton and Quinn over Lou and Barry.

Honestly the guys 36 and has been a healthy scratch on the Kings for a month straight.
They can use all the help scoring they can get and choice to play others over him on the 3rd or 4th line. The Kings are like bottom 5 in scoring and he’s riding pine, why?

I truly don’t think he would help us and conversely would hurt the overall defensive structure of 5 when he’s out on the ice.

I understand that. Will not be forever but if I like the team and GM and coach, I'm putting that aside especially with Belmont on the way. I'm just not a high maintenance person I guess?

Yup and throw in Galchenyuk you’ll have the most skilled shat line in the NHL

Tampa’s got mad offensive skill in their top 9 and look at their POs last year and their year so far. Gotta play all aspects well.

He’s got more goals this year then those two combined 🤣Also I really don’t want him but if you said Lou wasn’t making any big moves and Kovy would be the only pickup I would do it

Exactly the guy is too slow to hit anybody with consistency. Oh wait every ten games or so he pisses somebody off and they rub their gloves in his face and they both go back to the bench lol

Oh 100%.
The success the team has shown last year and this year certainly has changed the opinions of most players and NHL( except Leafs ) fans.
Having the building under way and not just plans on a white board at the teams offices also helps the transition of the team in becoming a top tier NHL organization.

Ok now it’s time to sign out if we are back on Komorov. Holy (frank) this thread is so predictable

I'd like to see bardreau back up at center if all else fails, he brought tenacity and effort every shift and got a lot of scoring chances too
