Chris Johnston on Saturday headlines a little bit ago said the Aves are the frontrunner for Hall, and that other teams believe it could take up to 4 pieces coming back to us to get it done. Also said the deal could happen before the Christmas break/trade freeze December 19th

Its possible, I'd prefer him over Timmins but i dont know if Sakic will let him go. I dont think the gap between Byram and Timmins is as big as some people think, but we'll see. I think we absolutely need to get one of them though, if we didnt i guess Newhook would need to be the centerpiece?

I think Ray Ray has done his best trade work farther away from the trade deadline and I’d move Hall sooner if the package is good. I think deadline scramble gets too crazy with a lot of guys on the market.

Those are things this guy should have picked up in his years with Hynes.

I find the guy to be a little unprofessional. This is serious and he is acting like the situation his he has been hired as the head coach and thats not the case the coach was fired and that is serious the position this team sits in his serious. He should be taking it that way.

Literally the only thing that has changed is that the black cloud surrounding the room his gone and he should get no credit for that as the pace was going to pick up the second hynes was fired regardless of who was named coach.

My apologies man didnt mean to be a dink.

I totally think Nas is a genuine guy and a real good dude but the stuff he says comes off to me as just not being very aware of the situation.

Like if I became coach of a team that has been struggling for years now and was finally expected to turn the corner and hadnt then I would not be making coments about me at all as, I would think the fans wouldnt wanna hear it and would rather hear what the plan for the hockey team is.

If he was hired to be coach in the same situation Hynes was (in that he would be given lots of time and grow with the team) then sure tell us how excited you are tell us youre basically unprepaired tell us youre story but in the situation the current team is in I would rather hear business from him. Not playing hard for 2 periods is good.

I just think he could seem more professional.

Its only been a couple games so im probably being way to harsh but they are still doing a lot of the stupid things they did under Hynes just now they hussle.

Why is it every single time a forward or anyone gets the puck in our defensive zone the first reaction is to swoop backwards and keep it in our d zone even longer then need be. Whos plan is that ? That was something Stevens really picked apart on the nhl network.

At this point from what Shero has said I have no clue anymore lol could be anything that tickles his fancy.

I give him kudos for saying guys didnt play well. It just came off differently to me.

To me I thought he had no idea whether he Should/could throw anyone under the bus and he sounded like he didnt even know how to in his attempt to do it. To me if thats the case maybe just not divide the team up at all and say at the end of the day it wasnt enough?

I would be happy Byram straight up for Hall. He is what this team needs. Also still interested in Oilers JP and Boucard for Hall. Alas, both probably pipe dreams....

I feel like we are all just waiting for the shoe to drop and the Hall Trade being done. Then onto the draft and the hope of good lottery pick...

Then maybe a new coach and some marketing BS about the tea to sell tickets...
