Let the world die? What do you do with claims this would happen dacades ago? Hansen was their big predictor and he was totally wrong. All their predictions of doomsday are wrong. But I guess scaring people makes them passive to take their money.

Technology improves, machine learning improves, projections and methodology and sample size and measurements improve as we advance.

Now I'm not saying climate change is real with 100% certainty, but I'd take the odds that it is. The unfortunate part is that there's only one planet which can't be duplicated so we're relegated to using a heuristic approach to attempt to study it. That being said, I'm confident that with enough minds and drawing on whatever parts of the scientific method they have available that they can come up with the best conclusion that they can.

Yep and those same organizations in the 70’s and 80’s had the world convinced we were headed towards the next ice age. They had the same rabid, political support along with it.

No they didn't. There was no global scientific consenus about an impending ice age in the 70s and 80s. There was no support for that idea at all. The world was not convinced of that at all. Not a single one of those scientific organizations said that.

It's bizarre and sad that you just blurted out something totally made up and nonsensical. Most people here would remember the 70s and 80s personally and would immediately know there was no such sentiment about an ice age. They are also sitting on a computer and could use google to determine, in about five seconds, what you said is completely wrong.

They could also easily research the current overwhelming scientific consensus that climate change is caused by man made carbon emissions.

1972 and 1974 National Science Board Edit
The National Science Board's Patterns and Perspectives in Environmental Science report of 1972 discussed the cyclical behavior of climate, and the understanding at the time that the planet was entering a phase of cooling after a warm period. "

Some press reports in the 1970s speculated about continued cooling; these did not accurately reflect the scientific literature of the time, which was generally more concerned with warming from an enhanced greenhouse effect.[1]

The current scientific consensus on climate change is that the Earth underwent global warming throughout the 20th century and continues to warm.[2]

Did you you read you own wiki? It disproves your own point. You're a lost cause. Have a nice day.

You're own link says the scientific literature was concerned with warming, not an ice age. As it was. I'm not gonna debate a matter of public record.

Yeah, it doesn't say there was a consensus about an ice age, it say the concern was and continues to be warming. Thanks for coming out.
