in the last 10 years, china is far and away the largest emitter of co2 emissions in the world.

who gives a (frank) if everyone else reduces their emissions and china is excluded. either is a global problem and everyone fixes it, or it's not and nothing gets done.

- Tumbleweed

It's a prisoner's dilemma. All the game theorists who are monitoring climate change are emptying their bank accounts to grab some hookers and blow

By far and away, by any stretch of the imagination, and if our governments were to impose regulations that would discourage importation from the world's biggest polluter then climate deniers would be up in arms that they can't get their off-brand best buy TVs and chinese-made tinfoil hats at discount prices anymore.

Guess that's why Tavares missed practice today. And I would assume will miss tomorrow's game too.

Of course China is the largest emitter, they have by far the most people.

I love how people point at China as the big polluter when they and their neighbours are polluting at twice the rate.

Canada is pretty bad per Capita. Probably a byproduct of being one of the least densely populated countries in the world, though I wouldn't be surprised if industry and manufacturing was a big part of it.

Here's a question. Hutch sucks and Kaskasuo is not ready. Why didn't Dubas move a body for cap room and put a claim on either Domingue or Kinkaid to improve backup position?
- floater_willy

Both of them suck too and cost more.

I think right now they can operate with a full roster of 21 players. That allows them something like $400k in flexibility. So you could, in theory, upgrade on Hutch with up to $1.1m - or you could play with a roster of 20 players, and have up to about $1.8m in room for a backup.

That said operating as a standard with 20 players leaves no room for minor injuries or suspensions, so it's just a bad idea.

As you said, Kinkaid is overpaid for his value, and I don't think Domingue is much better than Hutchinson. There might be something in the AHL, but I don't know what that teams would want to part with. I'm sure no one is lining up to help us, and it's not like everyone doesn't know what our first request would be.

Yeah I think it's difficult to find the help without giving up a significant asset.

MAYBE they could make a deal for a Domnigue with salary retention and a 3rd or 4th round pick + Hutch

😆

when i was a kid and i went to la for sports, my lungs burned🤢

then they decided to clean up the air and now my lungs don’t burn when I go there.👍

Now you just have to look out for needles and scat in the streets 🤦‍♂️

china and india should follow suit but they’re busy trying to keep up with our economy and could give two (frank)s about the effects on their subjects.🤦‍♂️

if you want to see REAL environmental pollution in North America, google the salton sea🤦‍♂️ and the imperial valley 👍

that situation is killing people real time 🤦‍♂️

But carbon is going to flood/freeze the earth in 10,20,30,40 years or so depending on what we’re paid to make our computer simulations say🤦‍♂️

cpu analytics ain’t everything 🤦‍♂️

btw trade greedy willi👍

maybe b!tch marner and glassthews 👍

fire dubass and queef👍

Keep souperman and snakevares and get someone to go to bat for them and some more real dmen 👍🏿

i hope that i have time to wait before the earth floods to see our loafs win a cup🤦‍♂️

The planet is cooking up a super Ebola or something similar anyway. It’s already sent out a few trial runs to see what will work.

It will cure itself after most of us are gone.

i am all about not polluting the air and not littering the land, rivers and seas with plastic and pee and offal.👍

but to blame the warming, or cooling, of the earth and solar system on mammals or carbon is either ignorant or calculated 🤔

- Skalapy

Not to mention CO2 is odourless colourless and invisible. And it's plant food. Brown smoke and dirty water have nothing to do with it.

Or it's agreed upon by an overwhelming plurality of scientists all over the world.

How about Kinkaid's numbers are not really that great and that was mostly behind a VERY defensive Devils team. Not really an upgrade on Hutch. Domingue well seeing that blocker save into his own net not sure we didn't dodge a bullet there too in the end but...

End of the day I think neither really were going to be worth it. Better to put the assets into a trade and bring in a solid backup.

The rumors on Georgiev with the Rags, yeah I wouldn't mind seeing him come in but not sure at the cost. Same with Jarry. If you are going to have to move bodies might as well make a trade for someone well above what we have not a "well lets try this guy and hope he is better" move.

Let the world die? What do you do with claims this would happen dacades ago? Hansen was their big predictor and he was totally wrong. All their predictions of doomsday are wrong. But I guess scaring people makes them passive to take their money.
