Do you see Bjugstad on the outside? I mean, his time in PIT has been utterly atrocious. I bet he's a player, but I haven't seen it on this team. Killer wrist shot that hasn't scored goals.

I think he was more then fine last year on the third line. This year he looked bad so far. I wanna see him play top line RW. Also he’s solid in all zones and is good insurance if a C goes down.
Guentzel - Crosby - Bjugstad
Rust - Malkin - hornqvist
Kahun - McCann - Tanev
Galch - Blueger - Simon

I thought about that but I think Crosby wants someone faster on his RW. Someone like Radulov or Toffoli. I think that would make that line much more dangerous.

Not to mention Bjug makes $4.1M this year and next and is always injured.

Wow, he almost got that with the no-look backhand glove. That would have been a highlight save.

He needs to get healthy. His place is tenuous, but not irredeemable.

He did score 9 in less than half a season last year and probably deserved more assists if he wasn't playing with Simon and a snake bitten Hornqvist. I thought he played well last year, but it hasn't shown this year. I'm not sure he wasn't playing hurt either.

He was looking to shoot when he got the puck. Something he wasn't doing earlier.

Yeah, I've heard that and it makes a lot more sense. I was just sort of testing the threshold for trading Murray.
- Hockey66

Yeah, I have my doubts on both goalies, so I'd rather double my chance one works out by keeping them both.

Besides, we just won 2 Cups where the back up goalie was vital. Imagine if they traded Fleury sooner than they had to.

Agree, I kind of like Simon in that spot so I'd like to see it click.

Yeah, even if they don't score much just grinding up shifts is good.

My only issue with that line is ZAR not being a great finisher either. They’ve definitely been creating though.

Yeah, the problem is you can't really play either on the 3rd line or higher unless you want to hurt that lines chances of scoring. I would rather trade ZAR and play Lafferty in his place full time when everyone is healthy.

Yeah, I don't expect a lot of goals from them together.

Should be a great endless cycle line though and if they're neutralizing other team's scoring lines, I like the chances of our other lines taking advantage of the other matchups.

There was no need for a dramatic finish like that hahah..but in their defence they looked pretty gassed that period.
