To NJ:
Timmins
Bowers
2020 first round pick
2021 second round pick that becomes a first round pick with an extension.
To Avs:
Taylor Hall - bruinzfan77
This is way too much for the Avs to pay. Bowers and the 2020 first should get it done. Then send a 3rd also to NJ if Hall resigns

Why would Calgary care whether or not Brodie re-signed with NJ? - eichiefs9
Why? Because Brodie still has value. It’s the same thinking for NJ, who cares if hall re-signs? Of course NJ fans do they want a premium return for a very sought after player. No matter what people say, Brodie is still a 30+pt top pairing defenceman who can play on the PP / PK and can play LD or RD. |

On the right track, but because of Jankowski's awful year to this point I don't think he would add a ton of value.
I'd suggest
To Calgary
Hall
Boston's 4th this year (since Calgary needs one)
To NJ
Brodie
Frolik (UFA at year end)
Dube
2nd this year (since NJ needs one) - Turns into a first if Hall resigns - Djmbrown
I agree jankowski is having a bad year but would like to point out the whole team is (most of them anyways). One bad year is not enough to write off a 25 year old. He’s also still an RFA so NJ has time to debate how they want to handle him. I think swapping out jankowski for Dube is counterproductive for the flames when hall can just walk away. Essentially your giving away 3 roster players (one top pairing defence, one top prospect and a cap dump) AND adding a 2nd rounder for a rental. IF Hall stays and re-signs you can justify it but if he goes to UFA then it will look VERY bad for the flames |

Eklund: You're the GM. Trade for Taylor Hall - Eklund
i don't want taylor hall, every team in the league should give the devils a draft pick to entice them to keep him. |

Toronto receives Hall.
Jersey receives Ceci, Hyman, Bracco, conditional 2nd round pick.
Pick turns into a 1st if leafs make it to the 2nd round, devils get an additional 3rd round pick if leafs make conference final. - aries1976

Since my team is the Pens I will come up with a trade that JR could come up with. Of course this is going to have to start with making room to sign Hall. Not sure who he would trade to make that happen, but here's what I would offer to Shero if I were JR.
Jersey gets - Calen Addison, Alex Galchenyuk, and a 1st round pick
Pens get - Taylor Hall |

The two teams that are most desperate to make the playoffs this year have to be Edmonton and. Buffalo. They both need more talent and both need to make the fans happier. Lots of pressure there. I think they get into a bidding war and end up overpaying for him. Probably WAY overpaying. I bet it happens well before the deadline too. - Sams_Dog
Edmonton won't go there at this point, especially for Hall. Buffalo will not over pay. |

How about same pkg except it’s Timmins and a 2020 first round pick. 2021 first round pick IF Hall extends otherwise NO pick gets exchanged. Is that better? I’m pretty sure NJ wants D over another F. |

No first and youre 3rd or fourth best prospect. I cant see getting it done.
Teams like the leafs need players like Saad not teams at the very bottom of the standings.
I dont want you to think I am saying Saad is worthless but its a bit lackluster.
I would gamble on something with one blue chip prospect or one decent first. - Devilish4
Sure. Saad certainly isn’t Hall, but he’s a year younger and could post 55+ points in a larger role. Shero didn’t acquire Subban to miss the playoffs and Saad would help soften the blow for another season, you know?
Beaudin and Mitchell are potential top-4 defensemen and that’s really your biggest need. Gustafsson may not be enough, but he’d fill another hole and may be worth bringing back next year. If not, Gus could be flipped for more assets at the deadline...
It’s tough to offer a potential top-5 pick for somebody who’s pretty clearly going to FA after this year. If so, that 2021 pick could be top-40 and that’s reasonable for the risk.
Now, I’d be willing to condition it as top-10 protected in Round 1, but only if Hall re-signs in Chicago. Nobody wants to get Chiarelli’ed, lol. 😂 |
