Buffalo sends

Marco Scandella (last year of 4 million dollar contract)
Ryan Johnson (2019 31st overall pick)
2019 top 10 protected 1st round pick
2020 2nd round pick, becomes a 1st if Hall signs before 7/1/20, or if the Sabres make it to the Finals.

For Taylor Hall (cap retain to offset cap hit)

If sabres finish in bottom ten, 2020 1st us guaranteed. Conditions for 2020 second push to 2021.

- Mentalorgasm5

I dont think Scandella is worth more then a 4Th round pick. I think Shero will absolutely want a first or 2 and he probably wants a d prospect but I think he either wants firsts that have a shot of being good lottery picks or d prospects that are blue chip.

For me to move Hall to anyone I would have to have that teams first this year with no conditions. You are telling me you are a legit contender by trading for Hall and if you are hesitent in trusting that then I absolutely want youre first this year.

Krug, Vaakanainen, Backes and a conditional 1st rounder if the Bruins win the Cup or Hall resigns with Boston.

Not sure why everyone thinks the Avs need to be going after Hall when they already have the highest goals per game in league, and that’s with the injuries to Landy and Rants.

If anything they need to trade for a 3rd line center or sure up their top 4 d since Cole and EJ (before being injured) aren’t anything to be excited about right now.

To Dallas: Taylor Hall (with contract negotiated beforehand)

To NJ: Jamie Benn

Taylor and Tyler are the new Thornton and Marleau. Stars get the shakeup their office has been threatening while getting a proven scoring threat, while getting younger.

The Devils get a proven leader to help coach their young team and provide stability with the cap and in the locker room.

It doesnt work like that anymore. All trades now come with protections on first.

Blame Darcy and Snow, all started with the Vanek trade.

The Bruins have a damn good shot to win without Hall no way that would be a protected first and we are taking a cap dump as Backes is a shell of himself.

Devils get an older player that isnt going to live up to his contract and is declining daily and no hopes for their future.

They are in division they have to pay a way higher price then any team not in division.
- Devilish4

Possibly. I wouldn’t be opposed to adding our 3rd the next season and making it conditional (turning to a 1st) on either the Pens making the cup this year or him re-signing with the Pens.

Too much injury risk for too much cap hit. Never shown the ability to lead his team out of the basement. Pass.
- DarthProbert

Are we talking about Hall? The guy who won the Hart and carried his team into the playoffs? Because if so your statement is completely ridiculous.

I'm not saying you have to like the guy but exhibit A says that's exactly what he did.

Not a bad offer, good prospect and I am one that likes Galchenyuk

He’s a decent player, but he just doesn’t fit this system in Pittsburgh.

To New Jersey:

Carey Price
Ryan Poehling
Victor Mete
Conditional 2019 2nd Round Pick (Chicago) (Upgrades to first if Montreal wins Stanley Cup)

To Montreal:

Taylor Hall (With pre-negotiated extension)
Will Butcher
Ty Smith

On New Jersey's side, this addresses their need for goaltending by acquiring one of the top goaltenders on the planet and a much-needed blue-chip forward prospect with the potential for a first-round pick.

For Montreal, giving up Price is a double-edged sword (losing a top-tier goalie but shedding his contract), but Cayden Primeau's surge to the NHL shows that the team has depth at the position. This is, of course, contingent on the fact that Keith Kinkaid is, in fact, an NHL backup and can provide the support Primeau needs.

It also addresses the weak left defense for Montreal both now (Butcher) and in the future (Smith).
