Toronto receives Hall.

Jersey receives Ceci, Hyman, Bracco, conditional 2nd round pick.

Pick turns into a 1st if leafs make it to the 2nd round, devils get an additional 3rd round pick if leafs make conference final.

Gotta love TML fans. "Your superstar for a handful of middle-6 forwards, a cap dump, and a 2nd rounder." News flash: Just because they play for TML doesn't mean they're better than what they've shown.

Gotta love Flyers fans. Too stupid to realize that one bad post from a Leafs fan does not represent all of them, especially in a thread full of horrendous posts from fans of many teams.

Steen is worthless. He's going to be 36 this year. The Devils don't want anyone's dinosaur cap dump.

To NJ: voracek, ghost, and a second rd pick (changes to a 1st if hall signs in philly or flyere reach the stanley cup final)

To Philly: Hall

- sILKAsSINASALO

This is so funny that practically EVERY Flyer fan has included Ghost in their trade proposals. It's pretty evident from his stats he's not the player anyone thought he would be after his stunning rookie season. It's also obvious Flyer fans know this (i.e., why he's included in all their trade proposals)…..but here's a little known fact. The rest of the league knows he's really only a 3rd pairing dman with speed who is good on the PP, but a liability defensively. And then you want us to take underachieving / declining skills Voracek too? LMAO You can keep your scrubs, we don't want them

Not hockey but the Cubs gave up a ton to get Adrolis Chapman from the Yanks a few years back and they knew he wasn't going to resign. They did it anyway and won the World Series. Sometimes you gotta go "all in". So I am hopeful there will be a team looking to go "all in" and provide a hefty return for Taylor

Any trade from the Bruins would have to include salary. With NJ sending hall they can take back and retain salary.

To Boston: Taylor Hall

To New Jersey: David Backes
Danton Heinen
Uhro vakaninen
Bruins 1st (conditional on a cup win or resigning) otherwise becomes a 2nd in 2020

If I'm Ken Holland, I'm not looking at Taylor Hall at all.

You can keep that problem child.

I think you and whole bunch of people on Twitter need to go back and review the returns for Karlsson, Stone, Kane, Duchene v2 (OTT to CBJ) and to really drive the point home, Tavares. Hall is going to walk. The entire league knows it just like they knew it with those guys. After all the crazy predictions of huge returns and calls by fans that "if we don't get x, y and z the GM should be fired" the returns have been pretty underwhelming. If Shero does a good job NJ will get a very good prospect but not the trade partner's best (like Ottawa got Brannstrom and not Glass), a younger bottom 6 F or bottom pairing D or another lower level but good prospect, a 1st and another conditional pick, a 2nd or 3rd.

Hall is a very good player when healthy but he is injury prone, 28 and has cracked 80 points twice. He's had 5 seasons where he played less than 70 games. And, again, he's walking in a few months. No team is going to mortgage their future for him. In the Avs case I'd be OK with Timmins, one of Bowers/Kaut/Jost Kamenev, a 1st and another conditional pick based on which of Bowers/Kaut/Jost or Kamenev. Even this deal is risky and I kind of doubt Sakic would give that much. Bowen Byram isn't being traded for Hall in a million parallel universes nor should he be.

- FoppaForever

THIS. SO MUCH THIS.

New Jersey will NOT get top dollar for Hall...pending UFA, clearly wants to choose his OWN destination, and most likely won't re-sign until right before July 1st.

Mark Stone is the most comparable example of recent memory and as much as I love Taylor Hall's offensive upside, Stone is far more well-round and consistent at nearly the same age (younger).

Shero would be lucky to get either somebody's 1st Round Pick or top prospect with any other respectable pieces. It's more likely gonna be second-tier prospects and one or two early-mid Round picks.

Do people forget that Taylor Hall has been traded once before? And, while that return was an atrocity, why does everyone suddenly believe his trade value has increased 10-fold after 4-years and one amazing season, but with far more risk?

Devils get JVR, Shayne Gostisbehere and the Flyers 2020 second round pick (the Devils don't have one) for five months of Taylor Hall.

The Devils don't need to start a total rebuild if they can improve their goaltending in the offseason. They aren't getting a marquee prospect for a rental and this deal, unlike dealing Hall for more draft picks, makes them much better next year. The Flyers get a superstar for the rest of the season for two players who, although good, increasingly appear to be non-core in Philly. The Flyers can play Hall with Giroux and Frost for the balance of the season and see what comes of it. And, if Hall leaves for western Canada after five months in Philly, the Flyers get cap space, an underrated asset in what could be a tight cap year.
