Spin factor. Also heard dinky say that it makes him feel good to have the response gilbert did and also that it's a penalty that they will roll with as a team every time. More he was lamenting the non call on his hit and that they didn't kill the penalty. Nothing negative to say about the response. Or the coach. Of course he would have liked to kill the gilbrert penalty but in the same breath said it sends a good message to the team while also backhandedly calling out the refs about the non calls tonight. But many here on the board of irrelevance will spin it anyway they want. Guarantee no one is telling gilbert tonight in the room that he was selfish or undisciplined but you know how the spin doctors will be on here. Enjoy the season! Happy Holiday season.

Right back at ya!🎄, Just can’t understand why these guys can’t stay motivated all the time., I think they have too many passive support players on the team, or probably when you look at three guys behind the bench what kind of coaching experience is that? Two of them should still be Coaching in Rockford and the third one should be back overseas coaching high school hockey or wherever he coached. Hopefully Mark Crawford is back soon. If not they better find another assistant coach that has significant NHL experience with some winning Pedegree to replace Crawford.

Had no problem with Sikura's game tonite. Still think Nylander needs a game or two to sit in the press box. Lehner the real reason we were able to capture one point. Hope there is a trade or two, otherwise there will be no playoff hockey. That would be a shame given the quality of our two netminders. Nice to see Toews finally registering a pulse. The refs tonite should be forced to donate their salary to charity. The worst officiated game thus far.

Maybe go to Crow to start OT, so he's not cold. The Lehner SO thing is like Jon Lester throwing to 1st. Strange.

thats a great analogy...

lehner looks beat even before the shoot out...and after the first one goes in...its here we go again...

the 3v3 was to decrease if not eliminate shoot outs...i have noticed teams are playing more patiently and conservatively in OT trying to avoid the odd mans the other way..

are shoot outs more frequent this year..

I rarely complain about officiating because I feel that it evens out over the course of the game, but tonight, they were terrible. The first two Hawks' penalties were bs. The instigator was fair, but Gilbert didn't deserve a 10-minute misconduct. Also, it should have been 4 on 4, but the trailing official "didn't see" the boarding that happened right in front of him. I actually wonder if Gilbert responds the way he did if they called the boarding penalty. The two slashing penalties were iffy. DeHaan on Hino, and Toews in OT were probably penalties, but they get let go more than they get called, especially Toews'.

Thanks for the reality check. Like you, I don't get overly worked up over the refs. But tonite was a real piece of work. They were atrocious and called most everything against the Hawks, and allowed the Coyotes to walk free. Insane.

Short on top 6 talent, crazy deep on d-man depth, and Jok got into with JC a few times. What’s done is done, focus on the now CheddarBob.
