But I'm sure he's a bad assistant nhl coach and he is "wrong" right snowflakes? Your argument is done. Because no one on that staff or bench gives a fug about your opinion on what Gilbert did. Is there a Stat for that? Or a coaches opinion matter more? Guess my opinion had no logic....... - bonecrusher27

That ARI line with the 3 guys from the Chicago Mission is outstanding. |

People wrote the same thing about the Hawks from 2010-2015. Not enough fight. Can't win being soft. - mohel
For me it’s not a matter of being soft, it’s is open season on your stars. Will never fault a guy for sticking up for a teammate. |

If he really thinks that was the correct thing to do, he shouldn't be an NHL coach. Q would have sent him to Rockford tonight, with words like "you love him supporting his teammates, but that's not the smart play right there." - mohel
You sound so stupid. Honestly. You are just ridiculous. Your response is so typical and is just not true. But alas you were wrong but you can't ever completely accept it. Lefties........... |

You’d like to see someone you don’t know take a puck to the face? Really? - paulr
yes, it is an absolute joke a Professional league allows this kind of officiating. They are not doing their jobs, so they need to be off the ice. |

The point is, which you refuse to acknowledge, is that he didn’t have to respond within 10 seconds of the check. He didn’t have to fight, or get the instigator plus the 10.
He could have waited until later in the game. He could have done a number of things to him away from the puck, and the eyes of the refs. They’re playing them in ARI in a few days in the desert. He could have lit him up there.
For god sakes, Stan used to wait months to get his revenge.

What has political persuasion got to do with anything? Does the fact you're a Republican make you an illiterate racist with no teeth? Lot's of Lefties enjoy fighting, lots of righties don't enjoy fighting but the smart people from any political belief understand being undisciplined is no good for their hockey team and Gilbert's fight was undisciplined. |

Hi, JJ, how are things at the rink? He used to react like that when he took the pipe in a debate, too. |

Thanks coach scottak! Why aren't you behind the bench? I mean seriously. Brookbank is such an idiot and a bad coach. And Q would have sent Gilbert down right in the middle of the game. You are ridiculously laughable. Narrative. |

Let's start a new debate. Tie game late in the 3rd. Lehner in goal. If a shoot out occurs should JC put Crow in? |

Yep. You really piped me on this argument. You win. Hawks should have you coach as well! Since that all agree with you!! I tip my hat to your brilliance....... |

No, but the should pull the goalie late in OT and go 4 on 3. |

Seriously you think that’s what he was doing??? Had nothing to do with honor, it was simply no you can’t just take a run at the back of one of my teammate and smash his face into the board! |

Here’s an example. Players sometimes took years to get their revenge.
In a Junior game decades earlier Mikita had viciously slashed Quinn rather than fight him, something Pat never forgot and years later, almost 2 decades later while playing for Atlanta he got even with an equally vicious elbow to Mikita's head, nearly taking it clean off..... Quinn had quite the boisterous, roustabout career to put it mildly as your likely aware. Wonder he made it at all being slow, plodding, however, Expansion; a guy like Quinn useful, wouldnt back down from anyone, hit everything in site yet surprisingly did actually possess some serious finesse with the puck. Extremely popular in Atlanta, hated everywhere else, Captain of the Flames....
That’s how Pat Quinn got back at Stan. He didn’t fight him 5 seconds later. And Quinn was no lavender sniffer. |
