It was about the response of real actual nhl players and the culture and reality of teammates sticking up for each other.....oh and it still occurred in each of the cup winning years too but you can always create whatever narrative you want but I will take Eddie o's opinion and the Blackhawks players response over a bunch of whiny miserable non pro players such as this bunch any day. There are other ways and times to respond, one goal game. Heck, they play them again in a few days. You respond when game is in hand for either team, not in a close game, you have to be smart. I do understand Gilbert’s logic though, he’s trying to stick in the show, but rookie mistake.

Some might have. But, they were wrong. Those teams didn't have goons. But, most of us that support players defending their teammates are NOT talking about goons. We are talking about sticking up for one another, having a backbone and challenging anyone that runs your brothers!

The Hawk Cup teams were not the "Broad-Street Bullies"....but they had each other's backs. Brouwer, Buff, Eager...etc...we had some jam. Love seeing Gilbert, Smith, etc getting their noses dirty. This team is actually starting to become a TEAM. Good on them!

10 minute misconduct, 5 for fighting and 2 for instigating at 7:01 of the second. He'll be eligible to be back on the ice at the 1st stoppage after 4 minutes of the 3rd.

The Hawks were up a goal, because of the penalty they are tied and the Yotes now have the momentum. But I guess the Hawks did win the fight.
