Jeremy Colliton had a talk with Alex Nylander just now. We’ll find out soon but wouldn’t surprise me to see Nylander scratched.
ETA: Confirmed - Nylander scratched - pdx2ord
Does that mean 7 d again if Maatta is back? |

So who’s up with Toews and Saad, Kubalik? - Angotti
That's my guess, although it seems Caggiula is also drawing back in |

Probably Sikura, let’s see if he can at least get one goal in the next 40 games.Hopefully this extended Rocford stint did him some good and he breaks out of that slump |

Big chance for Sikura. He's proven he can be productive in the AHL, now needs to show something in the NHL.
Nylander getting scratched for tonight makes a lot of sense. I mentioned he needed a seat after laast couple of games.
If Maatta comes back, I would guess Gilbert would be coming out although he's been really solid. |

Be Shocked if Stan is going anywhere.
Even though they don't admit it, Hawks are in rebuild mode. Upper management knows it, and they have given the reigns to Stan and his team. I don't think he's going anywhere.
Can't remember which feed I was watching, think it was the Devils, but the announcer said he either was talking to, or heard a conversation with Stan where he said the Hawks would be elite again in about 18 to 24 months. He has a plan, and I think Rocky and Co are on board.
Btw, the announcer also mentioned that they were going to do it with Kane and Toews, but didn't mention anyone else from the core. - vabeachbear
I think you are exactly correct. Imo, this is why JC was hired - to help develop the youngins (and perhaps develop himself into a good coach). The long term plan, and the whole organization being on board with it is almost certainly true. Whether Stan can execute the plan.....we will see. |

I heard that too. I thought it was interesting that he would say that, as it seems to go against their (there, they're) "One goal" mantra. I wonder if they are planning on selling at the TDL? - tvetter
Probably depends on where they are at that time, and which players aren't in the plan. |

All that I’ve read says the Nylander is still in. Only change is Lehner in net and Sikura/Wedin swap. |

Ben Pope:
Colliton said same lineup for tonight other than Sikura/Wedin swap, so I assume Gilbert stays in and Maatta misses another game with his illness |

Hmmm... was looking like he was out and Caggiula was in. Guess not.
Nylander will surely be moved down the lineup... or at least he should be. He had success when he was playing on the 4th line. |
|
|
|
Regardless how Colliton has line combos to start the game, he has shown he will mix and match throughout the game so I'm hoping Sikura gets some time with someone other than the offensive black hole known as Kampf. |

The Caggiula news of day-to-day came after the news that Nylander was being scratched. Maybe they thought Caggiula was ready, but determined he wasn't after post-practice exam/discussion. |

The one point of my post about Stan not going anywhere, I'd assume the 18 to 24 month plan would give him freedoms for at least a year after that.
So you could be talking about him being in place at a minimum til the 23-24 season.
Thinking a lot of big contracts done about then........... |

I believe Stan has earned the trust of McD and Rocky - I think they're all on the same page. So, I think you're right about your time frames. And I'm okay with all of it. |

Your use of the term “snowflake” is laughable. Snowflake is nothing more than a slur used by Fox News to denigrate and discredit those that believe in human rights, healthcare, and equality.
I am extremely liberal and Fox News pundits would say I’m a “Snowflake” for believing that children shouldn’t be in cages and the President shouldn’t be a Treasonous Felon with over 20 sexual assault civil cases.
And yet, I believe that fighting and physicality have, and will always have, a place in hockey.
Put down the MAGA hat and reevaluate your talking points. - EnzoD

Look, I have been following hockey since the 70`s as others have I'm sure, and it's sad to see what has happened to some of the old fighters in the league, those who are living and others like Probie who have past on. I have to admit though I still like a good clean fight . Don` want to ban it,the head shots and cross checking someone into the boards I think is worse. Still think most fans like a good fight, not all but many do . It will never be like the old days because a player today needs to be able to have something to contribute besides fighting, but yes i admit I like a good fight now and then. - GlennL
Thought criminal!!! Lol. Agree with you all the way on this. Don't sit around watching for a good scrap to happen. But, when it does happen, I don't cover my eyes. Trust me, the guys who claim not to enjoy it, are cringing and female doging. And, never missing a punch. |
