Look, I have been following hockey since the 70`s as others have I'm sure, and it's sad to see what has happened to some of the old fighters in the league,those who are living and others like Probie who have past on. I have to admit though I still like a good clean fight . Don` want to ban it,the head shots and cross checking someone into the boards I think is worse. Still think most fans like a good fight, not all but many do . It will never be like the old days because a player today needs to be able to have something to contribute besides fighting, but yes i admit I like a good fight now and then.

Price always gets injured. Crawford will be traded there when Price goes on LTIR, and the he will come back for the playoffs.

Could happen, but not likely. I understand Crow is from there, but I don’t see it. If Keith ever gets traded, not sure he’s going to Habs either, more likely to Nucks or Leafs, just my opinion.

I never said all Hawks suck. Yes I have been very critical, I want them to win, but not going to hide my frustration when they are not moving in the right direction for the 3rd year in a row. And I was only commenting on the fighting that other posts talked about.

If they are thinking about kicking Stan to the curb ,not saying he should be .If they are in the market for new GM Mark Hunter would be my choice ,think the Leafs are questioning him not be hire their

Good idea, Duffy. I've always wondered, though, with Hunter's name coming up quite a bit on message boards as a solid NHL GM option, why hasn't he been hired yet?

I'm only aware of his time with the Leafs as an assistant GM with Dubas then departed after Dubas became GM.

It could just be he has been on short lists but just likes where he's at in London.

Could be wrong but pretty sure he works in some capacity for the Wings.

I checked the Wings directory and didn't see Chelios there either. Fairly certain he at least left Detroit. He may not have any role at the moment with any team. Don't know.

Hextall seems like a more realistic option to at least Chelios if it ever comes down to it. Don't really know what the criteria would be, though, and who would be making the hiring decision.

I know all this GM talk can be moot if Bowman isn't going anywhere soon. For better or worse, I'm thinking that he weathers the storm.

Chelios left the Wings and became a Hawks ambassador in June, 2018. Not sure I want him running the Hawks. I use an IPad or phone for this site, therefore I cannot post a link.

Thanks, Angotti. That's what I thought about Chelios being a Hawks Ambassador.

Although he would be an interesting option, I would want someone with more experience and a progressive track record of some sort.

Even though they don't admit it, Hawks are in rebuild mode. Upper management knows it, and they have given the reigns to Stan and his team. I don't think he's going anywhere.

Can't remember which feed I was watching, think it was the Devils, but the announcer said he either was talking to, or heard a conversation with Stan where he said the Hawks would be elite again in about 18 to 24 months. He has a plan, and I think Rocky and Co are on board.

Btw, the announcer also mentioned that they were going to do it with Kane and Toews, but didn't mention anyone else from the core.

This is a very interesting comment.
We know Crow is on his last year of his current contract.
We know Keith has a couple years left on his. (For the record, to my eyes, after the first couple games this year until his injury, I thought he was playing at a very high level.)
We know Seabs has a few years left on his.
Let's see how this plays out...

I heard that too. I thought it was interesting that he would say that, as it seems to go against their (there, they're) "One goal" mantra. I wonder if they are planning on selling at the TDL?
