Adb finding the back of the net. Good to see that scoring touch come back. - I Am The Breadman
Shooting percentages tend to return to the norm after swings up or down, he’s been getting his normal number of chances.
He’d hit a couple posts on open nets the last few games before the last 2. He’ll be fine. |

Hawks passing is improving- a good sign
Wouldn’t want to be paying Subban’s salary |

The lack of finishing ability among our forwards this season is mind boggling...
If we had more high end skill on the end of these chances we’re creating there’s no telling how many more goals we’d have this season. |

I probably should have qualified my comment. I’m done with him on the top line. I think he would be much better on a third line with guys like Kubalik and Kampf. He could be more selfish. - Chunk
There you go, not ready for top line minutes and opposition’s best Dmen, should drop
him to 3rd line and bring Kubalik up to Toews line, he has more experience, although not NHL experience. |

Is it improving or the team they are facing? |

No matter who moves up and down - the Hawks only really have 4 NHL-ready top-6 skaters - maybe 5, if you include Saad.
A couple with potential here, but not ready yet - Dach, Nylander.
I don’t think there are many more with potential in the system - which is why I’m ok with the Nylander for Jokiharju deal at this point. |

Much better in the dzone - somewhat better in the ozone, but still not enough pressure on Blackwood. |

Considering the chemistry, and how dominant the Saad-Kampf-Kubalik line was, I’m surprised them at 8 hasn’t had a cup of coffee with Saad and Toews yet.
This is going to sound like a joke (for this board) but I would really like to see what Sikura can do on this team. He was playing quite well at the end of the year and I believe has been one of the better players in Rockford. |

He was very impressive during the preseason. Then opening night he had that glaring mistake that directly led to a Flyers goal...but I think that may have been an anomaly. Overall he seems very solid, will only continue to improve. - SimpleJack
I like him on the third pairing for now. If he could get to the point where he can recognize the play a bit sooner, I think he could be a good asset. |

I’m concerned by the lack of improvement he’s shown over the past 3 seasons since being drafted. Yes it’s only been a handful of games each season but with that high of a draft pick id expect some improvement. But we’re seeing all the signs that the Sabers fans warned us of...”inconsistent”, “doesn’t look like he cares”, “floats around”, “invisible half the time”. - SimpleJack
I won't argue he is struggling but he has been putting in the effort. Have some patience. It is essentially his rookie season. |

He wear #68. And he is good awful. He barely was able to beat out Simmonds in a foot race. |

No, Pat - not enough net front presence - Blackwood is seeing all of them.
Good position chances - not good shot chances. |

I’m guessing low hockey IQ. High draft pick, and he could get by in Junior with his flaws. They get exposed at this level.
Wasn’t it Gretzky who said, “I go to where the puck is going to be, not where it is.”? KK goes to where it is, and it’s moved by the time he gets there. |

Wedin is another passenger. Sikura was more dangerous in one shift than this guy has been in 4 games. |

Good thing we got MOAR Smith and Carpenter. Throw Dach out there once with Kampf and Kubalik, |
