Every check mark is true there. But got a feeling that won’t happen until Bowman is out of there.
He is destined to go thru 100 European prospects to create the next Zetterberg, Datzuk, Lidstrom(Gus??😂😂) Fedorov ect.,for his dad.
Billy Zito a candidate for GM?

I’m sorry to sound repetitive but need kids like either of the Tkachuk boys or Tom Wilson to get that ball rolling.until then just roll with what you have and hope they can turn it around.

Lastly, I hope Mark Crawford is spared , seems like since that era he turned it around , seems like the kids like him, Repeating good for Robin Lehner to come out and take a stance on this crap. Even Sean Avery to an extent. Times are changing, give em all a chance to show their worth. I was A Danny Carcillo fan for what he brought on the ice but sometimes I wonder what the hell he is thinking with some of his rants. The Hawks were willing to help set him up post retirement with his foundation but I don’t think so anymore. I think they severed that.

Within the last year+ Stan has brought in physical players (Murphy, Caggiula, DeHaan, Smith, Carpenter, Shaw). So there is that.

Yes. That is why I liked the hit by smith. Warrant a penalty, maybe...but good physical play.
That whole sequence, I thought, by BOTH teams is how "Winning" hockey is played, and played with honor.
1. The hit was a good physical hit...check mark for Hawks.
2. It was against a Bruin star, so Moore comes in to challenge the hit...check mark for Bruins.
3. Smith answers the call. And, after delivering a solid punch, backs off the damaged Bruin....check mark hawks again.

The whole sequence was solid. Solid hit. Teammate stinking up for hit. Fight over when "Knock-out" punch delivered.

Even at end, Pastrnak patting Moore on back for "Taking one for the team".

THIS is hockey. Hawks need more of this. Bruins have it (that's why they contend). We show signs from time to time. Let's have more of this. Not goonery, not even necessarily fighting...but physical play and ALWAYS sticking up for your teammate!!!

So, a player who makes a hard, but legal hit, is required to fight and leave the ice for 5 minutes?

The refs need to be on the ball with situations like that. They need to call extra minors to players who initiate. Maybe then the stupidity will stop. (unless that saying is true, you can't fix stupid).

Funny, I heard something eerily similar from f.w.f. last night.

Gilbert was steady, nothing flashy. Threw his weight around, which makes him effective. There was actually a good deal of penalties called so no pk & I don't think any pp time for Kubalik. He's got wheels, battles along the boards, & has a good shot. I'd like to see his time increase.

He was also out of position on the tying goal taking a run at Pastababy

The only time I noticed Gilbert was on Boston's third goal. He left Krug so he could hit Pasta. Pasta just passed it around Gilbert, took the hit, and we had a tie game.
- tvetter

Gilbert had pasta and nylander had krug and let him go plus seabrook left the front of the net so seasbrook and nylander are to fault not gilbert. Nylander Dach and Gilbert all learning on the job, hopefully these growing pains and learning will benefit later in the season and next year. Plus can we finally send kampf and wedin back to the minors where they belong when shaw and cagg come back.

No. Not required to fight. But, a teammate of said "Star" player needs to at least get in his face. NO PLAYER has to fight, some never do. The point of the entire play was Moore saw a guy take a run at Pastrnak and even though he took the short end of the altercation, he was willing to make it known to the Hawk player that it was not appreciated. So, YES....if Kane gets nailed hard...even by a clean hit...A Hawk SHOULD challenge the hitter, at least get in his face. It is "Brotherhood" it is bringing a team together...it is letting the whole team know "We are one".

Smith could have decided to back away from Moore, he could have just held on...he CHOOSE to fight. But, the action by Moore was the RIGHT action. At least on teams that have each other's back.

(Or, you can be an all-skill, no backbone team like the Leafs, and watch how other teams intimidate you into losing, even when you got more skill than 90% of the league. Gotta have Balls man...Gotta "Man-up".)

Yep. Not sure why they had a guy they just called up from Rockford on the ice protecting a 1g lead with 2min left in the game

Same with having 5 forwards on the ice with 5min left (on a PP), on the road, up 3-1...only to give up a SH goal

Yes, the NHL encourages this behavior by assessing coincidental penalties in these situations. I was surprised by the Boston lone penalty following the scrum in front of our goal. Typically, off-setting minors are assessed, again encouraging this type of behavior by the perpetrators.

I completely agree on both . Got the PP though great take two more minutes off the clock get the empty net and put it away . Would have loved to give Boston fist regulation loss on home ice .

In the future, we all hope Dach becomes a force as a power forward. When he hammers a defenseman with a legal hit and some guy on the opponent starts swinging, you seem to be saying he has to fight the guy for a legal hit. If he doesn't, he's soft, not part of the brotherhood. If he does he's off the ice for 5 minutes, and perhaps in concussion protocol again.

Sorry, I respect your opinion, but that makes no sense.

I just rewatched it several times. Nylander knocked the puck away from Krug in the corner. The puck rolled into the corner near Pasta. Nylander followed the puck. Gilbert took Pasta and inadvertently boxed Nylander in the corner. The puck slid over to Debrusk behind the goal line and Seabs went to take him. Glibert stayed with Pasta. Krug was able to slip out and go to the net. Toews was covering the back side and Saad was late coming down to take the extra man. Probably unfortunate that Nylander got boxed in.

Thanks for the breakdown & video. Very unfortunate Nylander got stuck in the wall by the hit. Everyone was chasing to bad spots & they capitalized on it.

Kampf is Colliton's love child, can do no wrong.
Kampf is the sh!tty version of Marcus Kruger (Marcus Kruger version II, after all of his injuries). In fact, I think in a shooting contest, Krugs might just win. Kampf is where pucks and plays go to die.

Yeah, quite a few were. Seems his hit on Pasta dominoed into Nylander (who I argue doesn't help the d out anyway.) Unfortunate play, but I'll take the 2 points & move onto tonight's game.
