Yeah that's a good point. I feel we overanalyze each game then extrapolate it for the rest of the season. Like why play the last 50ish games when people have decided they wont make the playoffs?

Money.

For years we whined on about a lack of a true #1 centre and always getting middle of the road draft picks. We finally get our franchise C with the 1st overall pick and some fans are clamoring for him to get traded because he (along with the rest of the team) has not lived up to expectations this year.

Toronto trades Matthews and he goes on to light up the league for years to come. Every other fan laughs at the Leafs until eternity.

Yeah for sure. He also was there after his ELC when they sucked and he looked overpaid. He knows what losing feels like.
