Gudbranson - 4mil till 2021 6'5 right shot Dman that is MEAN. (gives us another NHL D signed for next year and alows HOLL to be 6th dman and bring up Sandin to play left side with Muzzin out

Also gives us 1.45ish mill in cap space to navigate with more ease or add a back up goalie... Maybe we add a pick and they add Ryan Miller..

There is a bright side to this...

If they continue to suck, and not seem to care, then Dubas will be free to trade impending FA's at the deadline.

The Leafy thing to do would be to stay in the hunt, trade more futures at the deadline and finish 9th in the east. So, that is what will happen.

Yeah, but we have a new coach, so it's just a matter of time before we go on an 8-2 winning streak.

It starts with people screaming to trade Matthews, Nylander and Marner.

Some people get way too angry and can’t handle losing and they just go ape poop on the Leafs.

Can you imagine being an Avs fan the past 5 years? Watching Mackinnon, Landeskog both crumble under the pressure and take 5 years to amount to anything? Or the Caps, waiting 13 years for a cup after being dominant teams on paper.

It’s people like you who freak out who cause problems. It’s year 3 and there are some growing pains right now. Just (frank)ing except the fact that sometimes the team we follow is going to look like poop. Every damn team went through it with their players.

It’s the constant whining that I think a lot of people have problems with

It was predicted LONG ago by many fans outside of Toronto that were this vaulted franchise to fall on hard times, what with all the superstars and millions spent, USA's Matthews would quickly become the ire of the poor, starved Toronto fanbase.

This prediction appears to be coming to fruition. We may be a spoiled fanbase in Pittsburgh... in fact, we indeed are very much so... but you all are downright UGLY.

Cripes, give SK some time to sort through things.

I am sure that neither are the savoir,, but they both ad grit and size, both were top 10 picks, they have to have some talent and they give us some cap space..

I like Johnsson but we have 4 of him.. Muzzin is gone next year anyway and looks slow ( Gudbranson cant be any slower and is way meaner)

and again gives us cap space and maybe even helps the back up goalie spot if Miller comes some how

There are going to be growing pains, that’s all I am saying. It doesn’t bother me as much as you that Matthews looks disinterested sometimes.

He’s 22, he will learn. Losing usually pushes you to learn a little faster. Something Matthews has never went through in his short NHL career.( I know, surprising given he’s been a Leaf his whole career)
