Those numbers startle me more than a little.
Are the sample sizes large enough to draw conclusions from though? - Wildschwein
No, they're a tad small but they don't exist within a vacuum. I'll happily extrapolate on this a bit. The trend over the years certainly doesn't favour our boy Klef. |

Further statement of fact: Darnell Nurse is our best defenseman and has been for a couple years now. Any suggestion that we trade him is extremely short-sighted and neglects the value he brings over and above what Klefbom does. Either keep Klefbom and play him a softer role or trade him and exploit his higher perceived value.
Come at me, Sean - MaximumBone
Gotta trade him....I’m told we can’t afford the cap hit

he's got some games like that before but it doesn't mean he's been bad all season, Oilers are where they cause of them (75%)but poop games like today will happen again though. - AlEx_OiL
I just wish said games didn’t occur against teams like Ottawa. |

Whoa whoa whoa
I’ve got an early morning and don’t have the energy to tear into this. So my analytical retort to your post will Simply be:
yeah, no. |

Same same
Also, that little umlaut over the u there to avoid changing The word was dope. Plus a little shoutout to German

I want Willy Legs called up....like tomorrow.....I also want Toffoli as of tomorrow.....I want to say I want one of the forwards to be called up but I’m not sure at this point who I would give the call to.....ok so with that said I also want Zucker or Staal as of tomorrow as well |

Sooo... trade Klefbom, Gagner and Puljujärvi for Athanasiou, Helm and the lesser Svechnikov? |

The D is fine, just needs to be reshuffled to maximize skillsets. I'd definitely be in favour of adding Toffoli if the cost is still relatively low. Call up Benson, get Nuge and Kassian back in the lineup and:
McDavid- Drai- Kassian
Benson- Nuge- Toffoli
Khaira- Sheahan- Russell
Granny- Haas- Neal
Nurse- Bear
Klef- Persson
Russell- Larsson |

Well I will require you to hold still and stuff. Belt sanders are not subtle instruments. |

That's... not what I would even begin to call "exploiting higher perceived value". I'm talking a Klefbom and Puljujarvi for Ehlers and Roslovic kind of thing (though maybe not that deal specifically given the Jets' recent success). |

I think the Jets are probably out as a significant trading partner. Detroit might deal, not sure who else. |

I’m currently on the fence with Benson....I wouldn’t hate it if he got called up I just get the feeling the results wouldn’t be there.....not right away anyways and you know how we like to treat call ups that don’t make an instant impact

No Hall! Bad AlEx! Bad!
Pageau is a rental too BTW. I’d hesitate too chuck to many assets at rentals. |

The point for me is to hope Tippett is different when bringing in young offensive players, but I see the apprehension. |

yup, the Oilers are the better team but it happens to all top teams when playing teams like Ottawa.......I can bet that next game they play Ottawa they will win. |

Oh it’s not Tippett that is in question it’s more like the media and fanbase.....Benson wouldn’t stand a chance if TMac was still here
