I suspect he had a bit of a God complex as he became more successful. And abusing anyone, even Leaf fans, should not be tolerated. BUT, there has to be some sanity involved in this process. Racist remarks, physical abuse, and anything that resembles either, should not be tolerated anywhere, at any time. But some coaching techniques, while perhaps antiquated to some, can be very effective, without being abusive.
