This is short sighted. These are key development games for Hughes, Boqvist and some of the other younger players. We're doing fine on prospects and talent. We aren't doing so hot on culture.

I don't think the Byram prospect is as far fetched as people say, but money wise it's a little complex. It could very well be Timmins or Girard though.

Im hoping for Bo thats for sure. I would prefer the best prospect not in the nhl or as many first round picks as we can get to have more chances at higher ceiling guys. I know in a way its risky if nothing pans out but that cant keep happening can it? lol

I just dont want a package of 2 to 3 young players that fit in age but have very limited ceilings. I would just rather one really really good piece then 4 meh pieces.

If the Hawks were better it would be interesting to target boqvist lol but I dont know if he is the type of d we need as he seema to be all offense.

I doubt Nesreddine can do significantly better then Hynes so I can't see him surviving long as head coach; regardless of what the intent is here by Shero.

The thing is he has been with Hynes since day one so how has his voice not also been lost on the players ? At least Grier and Kowalsky are somewhat new and havent been preaching the same style of hockey since their days in wilkes barrie.

Players love him as a coach. He is known for in game line changes and adapting to adversity, unlike Hynes who never changed his gameplan. Simply put out a losing recipe, and repeated it. Go Nas!

Thank god Shero finally did something. Should've been done a month ago. Cant wait for the coach search process, hopefully its a complete overhaul in the offseason

I agree they all need to go. But I guess they can't fire the entire staff on game day so someone had to stay.

My guess is Bylsma is the next suitor but who knows. Babcock is being floated by the media as a jerk, and a "mean guy" (I personally thought that is kind of the coach's job to be a hard ass) but he knows how to win games. This is what we all waited for. I always liked Barry Trotz - does he have a contract beyond this year? If not or there are others up for grabs at season's end that are real good coaches I could see them waiting out the year. At least we won't have to look at Hynes being flabbergasted every night.
