You guys (even Fedzy) are all astonishlingly high on Hall - even "selling the house" for him, but in 9 years* NHL he had "just" one reaching 30 goals and three 60 points seasons... (*in shortened 2012-13 he was on pace for 29 goals). And when you see what L50n achieves, that "bad teams" argument doesn't sell too well as well. - VeryModernMan
That just one season reaching 30 goals was a 39 goal/93 point season. He is a .90 ppg player for his career playing for very underwhelming sh!tty structured teams. He's an elite player and I think you know that despite posting what you just did. |

Matt, no question he is a decent winger, but it is still 1 exceptional year out of 9... i think that implied hope that he comes here to play with Sid and posts 90 points seasons in a row is an illusion. |

He’s one of the best wingers in the league. I don’t really know what you’re trying to sell but it’s pretty (frank)ing bad. |

Lmao. Hall is nearly a point per game player for his career. But okay. |

Who said he would get 90 points per season with Sid? |

Haha - I had to re-read that. I didn't even notice that Rino was suggesting we trade for 3 or more high quality players. I'll be happy if we get one of those guys (in addition to Toffoli who seems like low-hanging fruit). - Hockey66
Well I said two and depending on how that shakes out, go after the last part.
I also wasn’t sure what the ask was for Pageau, which I mentioned. |

Getting Rust back is like acquiring Taylor Hall |

Pageau has picked a great time to shoot more than double his career shooting percentage |

Hall has more points in less games than Phil had when we got him. He's also a guy who drives a line rather than be a defensive liability.
I would be concerned about if the injuries are slowing him down though. |

Decent? hahaha come on now..."decent" players dont get drafted 1st overall, win Hart Trophies and average almost a point per game their whole career. |

I can’t look it up right now, but isn’t Hall usually in the tops in ES goals? |

From the 2016-2017 season to the 2018-2019 season he's ranked 112th in ES goals. In all situations he's 63rd. He missed 65 games in that time period though...almost a full season. |

He's had a few years where he was.
What's weird is outside his MVP year, he doesn't rack up a lot of PP points. Only one other year with even 20 and that was very early in his career. So you could certainly expect a bump on a more potent offensive team. |

The Oilers will probably send a package to NJ for Hall that include to Draisatl to "make up for a previous mistake" |

Hi guys. Looking for some advice. Planning a trip to Pitt end of Jan to see a game and spend a weekend. Going to get an AirBnB. Any areas you recommend staying, or maybe more importantly, where not to stay?
Thanks. |

Decent? He is a legit top line winger with elite ability to carry offense for his line. Of course if you can get a player of that caliber you sell the farm. |

Driving. And it's 4 of us, me and my wife and my buddy and his wife. Ages 28-32, so want to be semi-near bars/nightlife.
From my limited research, I was looking at North Shore or South Side, but South Side looks a bit sketchy. |

Fred’s Divot in Ambridge. Best night life ever. Get too drunk, head behind the building and snag a crack rock to wake your ass back up. |

I’d recommend north shore myself. I’m from your same age group and go there often when I drive down to Pittsburgh. Close to downtown and can take the T anywhere for free. Drops you off right by the stadium also so no need for a DD
Not sure how good the Air bnb s are there but there’s a good bit of hotels to try.
South side you might find a younger crowd who go there to try to look like idiots most nights |

Since you guys have been talking Hall so much: https://twitter.com/ineff.../1200832632571023360?s=21
Those are some really good numbers. His injury history is concerning but I think he’s worth selling the farm for. I would gladly give up Chucky, Jarry, our 1st this year, and a 3rd if he extends with the Pens. When you look back at what star players command I just don’t know if it’s enough |

I'd look into Kyle Palmeri as well as Toffoli - willi
I thought about Palmieri, too, but I highly doubt they trade him, especially if they are trading Hall, which looks like a foregone conclusion, as Palmieri is their second best winger behind Hall. |

And then Hall gets injured (again), and Pens look pretty stupid giving up 5(!) pieces for a little dreaming... again(!). - VeryModernMan
If there is any way to agree to an extension prior to the trade, that would make all the difference. |
