I think with the price of Hall I would pass in general. I think it would cost a top prospect or 2, a 1st and a roster player. Don't get me wrong if it is something like POJ, a 1st, Galchenyuk and maybe an AHL or lower line player for our team I would be for it. I do think Bjugstad and Galchenyuk get traded when this team is healthy. I think JR is banking on Addison or POJ making the leap next year once Schultz leaves via free agency. So I would be hesitant to move one of them in a trade. I also would be hesitant to trade Legare or Poulin for Hall d/t the potential of him leaving via Free agency. With that being said I think if he tests free agency we should do everything we can to try and sign him.

Trade wise I think I would rather go after Athanasiou, Zucker, Fiala or Pageau (his ability on the pens would be intriguing). I am not sold on Toffoli, but if it were a 1-1 deal for Bjugstad I may consider it. I still would like to see Bjugstad play on the RW for a game when he is healthy to see if he would be a better player for us on the RW.

I do t know. Simons possession stats alone might get New Jersey looking the Pens way for a trade.

Hear, hear. Pens have no net-front presence now and it's killing them. No screens, no deflections, no rebounds. It's either one-and-done with a low-risk shot from the outside or a turnover trying to set up a perfect passing play.
- Hockey66

Agree. I'll be interested to see what Noesen can do. They're giving him a big opportunity tonight on the 2nd line and net front on the top PP.

I wouldn't be against offering Murray/Bjugstad/Pick

Early December, and MM is shipped again - you will be remembered in March, when he brings us into playoffs - again!

Btw., van Basten got himself into a lot trouble recently, now even out of FIFA 20.

I honestly didn’t even notice it lol

Everyone's eye tests are different....

I started noticing it right away when it first flashed back to him fixing his truck at the gas station but it really stood out to me when he bet the sh!t out of that shopkeeper for touching his daughter. Stiff as a board. As the movie goes on though the character ages and it isnt nearly as noticeable.

The de-aging thing got me when Pesci was helping DeNiro with the truck. Pesci’s face looked reeeeeeally odd to me. That was the only scene that the CGI really (frank)ed me up. It look really unnatural there but it didn’t bother me the rest of the movie haha.

And then Hall gets injured (again), and Pens look pretty stupid giving up 5(!) pieces for a little dreaming... again(!).

Idk, sometimes going for the big fish doesn't work out because it's sometimes not a fit. But out of all the wingers in the league Hall just plays that style Sid plays and it would work really well. 2013 should have worked but Bylsma (frank)ed it up.

I agree, and think Hall is still one of the more elite talents in the league. However, he hasn't been back to his old form since before his injury last year. I don't think it's nagging him anymore necessarily, bc the devil's are a worse team overall, but still a lot to give up for a bit of an unknown.

I'd be surprised if Vatanen isn't re-signed by NJ and Brodie is a RD which is less of a need (not to mention I think he would cost a lot of assets to acquire).

For some reason I thought Pageau signed an extension. I don't know why I thought that - maybe I read they were in discussions or something? Based on his hot start and it's OTT, I'm guessing it would cost the Pens a lot.

Zucker might be a while if the Wild hang around the wild card bubble.

I know you were the first and most consistent in mentioning Toffoli and I think he is the most logical, at least for RW.

- Hockey66

I'd look into Kyle Palmeri as well as Toffoli

Yeah I found their eyes and faces a bit weird when they were younger but that along with the stiff movement wasnt enough to take away from the overall greatness of the movie. The acting and writing was top notch. Liked the soundtrack too.

But what about when Sid returns, Hall is healthy again, Dumo is back and Horny is there. Power of the east.

If he comes to a team where there's a chance at the playoffs I think you'd see him rejuvenated. Whichever that playoff team is

My favorite scene was probably the meeting in Florida with Hoffa and Tony the little guy.

If they want to that is. We always say so and so can beat this or that team will outbid the other..I feel like 80 percent of the time we're all like "that's all that was given up?!"

Edit: Although Hall has no NMC or NTC

Is he available? Devil's need to keep someone around their two young centers.

They have a ton of guys that are UFAs after this year and next and not a lot of prospect depth. They should probably aim for young players or close to NHL ready prospects instead of futures if they want to be competitive during Hughes's ELC.

Sure. But it’s also the timing. The closer to the deadline the lesser the return.

Duchene went for a 1st and 2 prospects with another 1st if he resigned. Not saying the offer wasn’t fair based on history. Just suggesting it should be easy to beat it.

You guys (even Fedzy) are all astonishlingly high on Hall - even "selling the house" for him, but in 9 years* NHL he had "just" one reaching 30 goals and three 60 points seasons... (*in shortened 2012-13 he was on pace for 29 goals). And when you see what L50n achieves, that "bad teams" argument doesn't sell too well as well.

After Hall, I'm not sure that there are that many better options then just plugging McCann in at top 6 wing. I prefer him at 3C for a 3 line attack, but it is an option they can consider and I'd like to experiment with if we ever get Sid and Geno both healthy.

They could always put Bjugstad and Hornqvist on the 3rd line, which also solves finding a fit for Hornqvist.
