yeah...ghost also looked great in the preseason. preseason doesn;t matter much besides getting the systems down and getting legs moving - Peter Richards
I meant as in analysts predictions but that works as well. |

is toronto going to give us full 60 mins or just play for 20 mins? - 2Real
The Leafs don't need to play a full 60 minutes - they have the most talented group of young forwards in the history of the game. They can easily afford to go down by 3 goals, and then just out-finesse the opposition and win the game.
At least that's what they think.
Sigh. |

So I notice mention that NoPa has been skating before practice a few times.
I am still 100% sure he does not play this year but he might play this season.
If we add him in and he has any thing to offer the team depth should get better. |

He's def been skating more lately and not sure if this is also a good sign ,but he's been skating without the tinted visor. Aside from our team, would be great for his development to get into some games this year. But certainly don't want to rush the kid. If he does come back this year, it will almost be a boost a team gets from a mid-year trade. |

I'm just hoping the kid is symptom free at some point this season, if he ever gets in that would just be a bonus. |

Would be nice to get him into games this year, but head issues would concern me if he comes back late in the season. Only bc everyone else will be going full tilt and his game rust plus knowing his health......one head hit could set him back again another year. would be my concern. flip side he could go down for a conditioning stint and depending on the team health could slot into a lesser roll to finish the season. who knows.
for selfish EA NHL 20 competitive reasons i would love it if he returned. but real life want caution so he can fix his issues. |

flyers. further along in their rebuild/retooling. have a better goaltender and defense moving forward. Jersey has some great young forwards, but that is one thing i think hex did well. we drafted d men to develop with great yong forwards. |

I don't think it's close but it should be the Flyers.
At what position, including coaching, are the Devils in a better spot than the Flyers? |

Hockey isn't a social movement; the means need not justify the ends. So long as the Flyers are compiling points on a consistent basis, they remain a competitive team with legitimate playoff aspirations.
Let's go, Flyers! |

Don't disagree but remember it wasn't that long ago when the organization felt it need to make a shift in how it ran the team because just getting to the playoffs wasn't enough. Now it seems as though we're back to that. I guess it depends on what the end is.

speaking of NoPa has there ever been an nhl player out of action for migraine problems? is there any precedent for how/if this gets resolved? is this tied to concussion that he had earlier in year? i know the party line. what i dont know is how others afflicted w same problem have turned out. |

I knew the Rags and Devils would suck. despite all their offseason moves. My prediction still looks good (minus Isles)
WSH
CAR
PHL
PIT
ISLES
NYR
NJD
COL - arichardson22
I believe I had
WSH
CAR
PHI
PIT
NJ
NYR
CBJ
NYI
Could be wrong, I always make predictions and then I forget what they are lol. I figured I would be wrong about the Isles but I wanted to hope lol |

The coach felt that all the close games and overtime games would be a net positive for the team going forward.
Quoted from Charlie O’Connor’s article in the Athletic:
“I mean, I’m aware of it, and I think everybody is,” said a laughing Alain Vigneault when asked last week. “But those (games) are good to be part of. I really think as individual players and as a team, these tight games have been beneficial for us, or are going to be beneficial for us moving forward.” |

I just want to properly close out games. - SuperSchennBros
Learning to close out games is part of the maturation process for a young team.
We're all basking in the progress up to this point, enjoying the moment. Even Team Negative is on board.
You're being a drag, a real wet blanket. Give it a rest already. |
