The 2010 was built to win it all the moment they traded for Chris Pronger. That was the expectation. At least that team could hide behind Gagne and Carter breaking their foot, firing Stevens and bad goaltending. This team can’t.

I know what Vigneault told his team. He stated publicly on the last Flyers broadcast.

We relied to heavily on our goaltending and our games were too close. We need to close our games.

1) Actually, that's NOT what Vigneault told his team. He told them exactly what I said he said. What you are referring to was his quote specific to a small sample of games, not the month as a whole.

2) But the Flyers apparently "offered up their very best" in Pittsburgh since that's the game that you seem to think represents the entire season to date. Oh, and did Boston NOT offer up their very best in that third period? They seemed to think they did but wasted the first 40 mins against what should have been a tired Flyers team.

They did though and when they did, each played to their potential and to their strengths.

Doesn’t really have anything to do with what we were talking about. You only feel that way because they got in. If they don’t, you probably look at the season as a failure. So saying if the flyers sneak in this season is unacceptable is kind of ridiculous seeing as though you think the 2010 team was special and they barely squeaked in.

That 2010 team really lucked out when Montreal dispensed of the Caps and Penguins.

Not doing yourself any favors here. Do you recall the Seahawks/Eagles game? Did Wilson miss any plays down field in that game?
Do you remember the first Eagles game this season? How many deep passes did Jackson catch for a TD in that game? Who threw the passes?
