I don't know what to tell some of you. Getting blown out 7-1 by Pitt and give up 3-0 lead in the third to the islanders, both of which are division rivals should look like a black eye to you. Maybe you're proud of beating up on the last place Wings and the slowly falling Habs but you can't beat up bad teams and get beat bad by good teams and expect to sit at the adult's table.
What do you think Vigneault is telling his Troops? Your naive take or mine? - SuperSchennBros
Nobody is happy about either.
I know this is still a team finding it's way. Ish is going to happen. But things are getting better, and will continue to do so.

Calgary has slightly less cap space than the Flyers so any move between the two would have to match cap hits |

TK always seem to have some extra aggression for Matthews when we play Toronto, makes a big run at him every game. |

Over the course of 82 games every team gets blown out and every team coughs up leads.
Whomever wins the Cup look back at their regular season and I'll bet you dollars to donuts they got their as$ handed to them (probably more than once) and choked in the 3rd (probably more than once). |

Look, at no point have I asked anyone to agree with me or told any of you how to feel. I’m a fan, I gave my thoughts and opinions and most of you did the same old dance. Same as my thoughts on Brayden Schenn pre and post Flyers. I liked him, you all believed it was impossible to win with him, so I got made fun of for disagreeing. If anything, you guys tell me how I should feel. “I should be happy”. Yeah, I’ve said over and over I’m fine with it but I still want to win in regulation. Which I don’t think is this crazy thought to offer.
Unless my posts are complete unreadable and invalid, I don’t understand what your problem is. |

Is having the most points in a month in franchise history good? Is that a valid point? Probably played more November games than usual but we did pretty darn well. |

How about when they beat Toronto and Boston on back to back nights on the road? Not good enough?
Also, they are 6-2-2 in the division. Not good enough? |

We lost to Toronto a week prior and I don’t think Boston brought their best effort. They gave us a 40 minute head start and came back to tie it in the third period. |

Likewise...I am not sure how to respond to you. There is truth to the criticism on those games and parts of others. And really I don’t think anyone is denying that. It’s just that it is also fact that the team is much improved from last month, last season and the last several years. Folks can be excited about that, yeah? Happy even? Can’t win a marathon in the first few miles, but it’s good to see progress and that’s encouragement that you’re on track for a good finish. More or less, keep it up and recognize you have more to give.

Well I would ask you right now, are we a contender? I’m not saying no, but with the points I’ve made, make me question ifvwe are on that level yet. Show me these teams that were blown out and by whom. Don’t get guess, Offer me something tangible. |

Right. So just pick the games that fit the narrative and discount the ones that don't.
Bottom line this team is better than last year. This team has a winning record against teams currently in the playoffs in the East. They are currently in a playoff spot.
Why focus on the two worst games they had this year? Not saying you have to be completely happy with the team. Timing seems weird though. Attention? |
