great - now Keefe is going to ruin Hyman.
The guy that only has only 14 even strength points less (104 vs 122) than wonderboy Nylander over the last 4 seasons (this one included) - with very similar ATOI (just over 14mins) at even strength.
what is funny though is that "Nylander is on a great deal" with his 6.9mln AAV.

Should put Hyman on top6 - and trade one of Johnsson or Nylander (best the first one since least upside) if Leafs want to keep Mikheyev on top6 (deserves to be there).

Kyle Dubas on #Leafs potentially pursuing trade for a new back-up goalie: "What I would really like more than anything is for us to put together a good game in front of Michael here in the coming stretch. We need to give him an opportunity as well."

This seems to indicate they are giving hutch more opportunities. Or the trade market is terrible and Dubas is just trying to give his guy a vote of confidence.

I think he's not as bad as the numbers suggest. He's had some good games and some bad ones.... so overall the feeling is that you can't really count on him, or at least you don't know how he will do.

What is even more telling is in inability to win a game. At some point you need to make one more save to keep your team alive and he hasn't been able to pull it off.

Bottom line, I think he's an upgrade of Hutchinson (butchered it) but he's been disappointing as a guy promoted as a solid backup.

He's getting into best shot in the league category. Overall - not like Matthews and his freaky wrister....hawt

I knew it was underrated across the league before the season started and mentioned here that he gives Ovie a run for his money in Ovie's office, but even I wasn't expecting this. He's just not slowing down either. I don't think he'll score 76, like he's on pace for, but 60-65 seems plausible
