And that's after we have won 4 out of the last 5 games and they've lost 8 straight.

Just goes to show how bad the Leafs were doing before the coaching change.

Had the leaf players tried a little harder they would have gotten a few extra wins.

I wonder why the Tanner: Plus/Minus blog keeps disappearing...twice in a couple days.

Strange.

Very hard to imagine, considering our internal options. Maybe we should go with a unique strategy on back to backs. Two keepers Kaskisuo and Hutchinson with 2 day and 2 forwards

I think with Babs they only tried for the sake of trying, not because they wanted to. Now, it looks like they are having fun again.

I have a crazy idea, why not give Andersen both back to back games.. Play Hutch/Kask against Detroit/Ottawa/New Jersey/L.A

Yep, should have played him against Detroit...the pooptiest team with their best player out.

Or just trade an asset for a goalie.

It’s something we didn’t want to do but now we have to so (frank) it. Cut your losses and just do it.

4 wins in 21 games with a backup is a killer.

Why?

Then they have a back to back right after that game....goalies don’t play those anymore for good reason. It’s hard on them.

Meh, Freddie could handle 1...just spitballing ways to give our backup some confidence.

Well, that is all well and good, and I do agree, but what happens if we start losing to the bad teams because are backup is barely AHL quality?

I know, but would you trust Hutchinson against Philly or Colorado?

I think Keefe should start Andersen both games, just don't give him any practice time.. Make him rest during off-days?

Well, at the very least, it gives us a chance at winning both games, and buys Dubas some time to trade for a backup.

Hopefully it's Freddy in that game. It's Kadri's return which is an automatic goal or two. But he'll score about 5 if Hutch is in net.

And I'll be at that game, so it'll hurt even more

Or we fall far out of the playoffs because we lose to good teams and bad ones Its a lose lose. I think he needs to pull the trigger here.

Then give him the 4 oclock game and go back to Hutch at home....at least he would have had a win and maybe started rocking it.

Oh for sure, he needs to make a trade for a back up goalie sooner than later. Starting Andersen Tues/Wed is our best chance at winning both games though..
