It seems like we generally suck at development, D seems to be the most challenging and we have had the most success with goalies. so screwed up.

I personally think that is BS.

Last year was too early for Lind and Gadj . Both are moving along nicely. You can see Jasek coming along as a skilled shut down guy. Briesbois Sautner Rafferty are doing fine also.

It is self entitled players like Dahlen and Palmu that gave it a bad rap.

We have had such poor drafting or traded away picks for pushes. Now we have some skill to develop.

Jasek was one I was trying to keep track of before he came to NA. It is frustrating to see some of these guys caught between a junior club and a pro club. not getting played much with the pro club, doing well with the junior team. going back and forth.

A smart GM would allow his club not to be weaker but at the same time allow for prospects if they are ready to play in the NHL.

Development of a prospect should only been used as an improvement over another player versus hoping a player developed further.

Players degrade and expire not to mention get injured. An example is Gaudette . He is ready to step in and replace when the time is right. He was brought along properly .

When they move on from Stecher this year Rafferty will be ready.
