To me, an OT loss still puts me in a bad mood. Yes, we get the point but I hate losing. - SuperSchennBros
Understood, I don’t like dropping games like that either. Let’s hope they got that one out of their system and they build on what they were able accomplish this month. |

35 out of a possible 54 points isn’t great. They really need to start winning on the road.
Overtime losses, and shoot outs drive me nuts too. |

Are you kidding?? That's on pace for 105 points on the season which would've been third or fourth in the league last year
7-6-1 on the road. Get out of here with your bullpoop |

Well, they did win on the road on the second of a back-to-back against a team that was desperate. It’s a start. |

4 in the conference and 6th in the league as of right now
Yes they could be top 3 if they hadnt lost a few in OT but I'll be damned after this month with back to back wins this weekend, winning the last 4 if I am going to be negative
and not excited about what I have seen so far. |

Those 6 losses are zero points. That might as well be 7-7 and that’s not good. |

That ignores the fact that every team leaves points on the table, or should win this game or that road game. Over 82 games they will miss points, every team will miss points, it’s about who is more consistent, their record indicated they are one of the more consistent teams in the league right now.
Hold on though, after being the best team in November, December will bring more pressure to play as well or better We will see a slump of sorts this season, let’s hope it is a mini one
And remember, new coaches, systems, revamped team and the youngens taking over |

I would not classify Couturier as having a great season. He's played well for sure but his point production is behind pace. - MJL
How many points has he averaged per year since
He entered the league |

Caring about individual player points is something teams who wont make the playoffs do
I dont care who scores how many. I just want them to win - bulet13
Do you think that Hayes, Voracek and Giroux all playing better and scoring more will help the Flyers win?

Good teams don't leave points on the table... they win all 82 games in regulation. |

It’s gonna be fun if we ever win a Stanley cup again and someone will find something wrong with how they did it. |

I really think the point is being missed here and really both sides of the coin are valid. With a new coaching staff and a lot of young players, you have to be really happy with where the Flyers are at. There is an obvious foundation being built. However also looking at how close a lot of the games are and having concern about it is also valid. Those points could easily go away with one play, one bounce the other way. Acknowledging and looking at that is not some off the wall pessimistic view. I see it as part of the process. Getting their top offensive players to score more would make a difference there. Dismissing that concern due to where the Flyers are in the standings is short sighted. |

Yeah good teams win the cup in 17 games or obviously they are flawed and need to be gutted and rebuilt. |

So after the November gauntlet, the next portions to the Flyers schedule easily divide into the
3 weeks before Christmas with 10 games in 21 days
and
After Christmas until the all-star break with 13 games in 25 days.

Absolutely!
I’ve been making the point for the better half of three or four weeks, the games are too close. The Flyers are letting teams back into games, which leaves us winning in overtime or losing in overtime. Our coach came out a couple days ago and agreed. Now, because I’m saying it, it’s something to brush off. We’re winning, everything is perfect in Flyerland.
The reality is, we had a good November. Not great but good. This is now but when July has rolled around, this November is a distant memory and the season didn’t go the way we wanted by getting embarrassed in the first round of the playoffs, you guys are gonna look for someone to blame. Giroux, Voracek, Hayes, JvR and Ghost didn’t preform to standards. Everything is awesome right now but the conversation above if some young players don’t pick their play up is Inevitable.
We do it every year, how does nobody see a trend? |

Most points in NHL in November makes it better than a good month. Yes, I am waiting for a bad streak, we are Philly, we get them every season.
Do you think the Flyers will get better at the season moves along or worse?
While I agree they can’t let points slip away, you ignore the fact that all teams let points slip away.
Only one team wins it all and the rest get to enjoy the highs and lows of the season, heck even the champs have highs and lows.

Vigneault has brought a steady presence behind the bench, Flyers haven't had that since Laviolette. Coaching matters in the NHL.
Hockey is fun to watch again. All the talk about if the Flyers are contenders or not. Hell just make the playoffs and see what happens.
The really positive thing is the team is winning, and their best players aren't playing great. |

Yes of course I think that but it's also a good sign that they haven't been at the top of their game and the team is still 6th in points percentage in the league
Also, Jake and Hayes have been heating up lately |

They are 6th in the league in points percentage and on pace for 105 pts. When was the last time the flyers got over 100 pts? Most teams have better records at home than on the road. Having a break even record on the road is perfectly acceptable |

Best November in Flyers history and best record among teams this November. Fans and the team should be allowed to be happy with those results. Because the season is a marathon, it’s good to remember this is just a part of the picture. Personally, I’m looking for improvement in scoring overall, especially the PP and insurance goals. Closing out games in regulation more by scoring empty-netters so opponents aren’t fighting with bullets of hope until the final buzzer. I’m looking for better first period passing and energy, hopefully getting more goals in the opening 10 minutes.
Great foundation, just need to build on it and keep improving individually and as a team. This team doesn’t remind me of any team in the last several years. So to me there are no trends but the ones they create moving forward.
