Vigneault said the same thing about this team this months. They’ve gathered the points but too many close games. Too much relying on our goaltenders.

Everyone on this board can disagree with me but when the coach is saying, that’s the least word.

on a totally serious note: 3rd game in 4 nights in 3 different cities and you won in OT with your backup. It counts. I'll take it.

I said it all summer long with their contract situations and the when the list of top ayers under 25. Provorov has do e more heavy lifting since day one and hasnt played one minute with a partner close to the talent level of Seth Jones. I think Werinski is more offensively skilled but not to the level that Provorovs defensive prowess outpaces his.

What a change from relying on AMac and Gudas as your vets to play with the young guys.

If Weal keeps getting the chances and the shots he had in this game on the PP, he's going to score some goals. Elliott stoned him at least twice.

That and the Kids are all a year older. It’s nice to see the depth of this team growing.

I hate the term I’ll take it. You can’t exactly give it back.

Those were point blank quality shots on his part. They'll go in in a lot of cases. He wasn't getting those kind of PP chances here.

They can play better. No doubt. Thing is, they are winning games and not playing 60 minutes of their top game. It’s a good feeling.

I like Weal and I like his hockey IQ, hope he does well except when ...

He can’t close, which with his skill set is puzzling

I personally don't think he belongs in the NHL. I'm just saying he had a couple of really good chances in the game. I don't think it was that he didn't finish as much as it was really good saves by Elliott.

Giroux 19 points in 27 games
Voracek 20 points 27 games
Couturier 21 points in 27 games
Hayes 13 points in 27 games
JvR 11 points 27 games

I would argue Konecny, Lindholm, Provorov, Niskanen and Elliott have been our best players. Couturier you can put in the mix for positioning and defensive play but he’s had better offensive starts to his seasons.

He’s a classic tweener. Too good for the AHL and yet somehow can’t do I consistently at the pro level.

So those come out to what,
JVR 34
Coots 64
Hayes 40
G 58
Jake 61

Not great for sure, they all should end up better and If the rest just stay consistent, you will have a lot of players with good points
