Hopefully he's a franchise qb. (For your sake)

Most likely another 2nd round back up type.

Hardest and most important position in sports to find

8 years without the playoffs for the Sabres will seem like a short time compared to "locating " an elite qb

- Boss34

I wouldn’t say Goroppolo is an elite QB.

Build an elite defence, and a strong rushing attack, and you win will football games.

Elite qbs 1-10
Good enough qb 11-20
Not good enough to win 21-32

Jimmi is good enough.

Yes, I realize trent dilfer won a superbowl as a 20th qb

The 49ers run the ball more then any other football team in the NFL and have a top 5 defence.

I never said the guy sucked. He’s probably a top 10 to 12 QB. He’s very good but not elite.

Matthew Stafford has been good enough his entire career and doesn’t have a playoff victory.

Using your metric he’d actually be Elite.

I'm not sure if he's elite. Frindge top 12-15 guy

Always a top fantasy qb, but definitely not a winner.

It takes a team to win a superbowl. I agree.

Rarely do you win without a franchise guy.

Franchise guy- 1-15 qb in my opinion

For categorizing QB's, I would go more like...
Elite = Top 5
Very Good = 6 -12
Average = 13 - 20
Not Good 21 - 32

I just disagree with calling 31% of anything as Elite. But that is me

I would include the following in the conversation for Elite play this season, we could probably add another couple if candidates into the conversation, but roughly right these guys have an impressive combination of Yards, Completion %, TD's, and Int's:
Lamar Jackson
Russell Wilson
Patrick Mahomes
Dak Prescott
Deshaun Watson
Matt Stafford

Josh played terrifically on Thursday no doubt, hopefully he continues to turn in more of those performances!

If I would poke at this at all, maybe elite should be 1-5 or 1-7 top QB’s, but I agree. Guys in either good enough or not good enough can get to Super Bowls, but the odds are less, that’s all.

I don't have time to watch the entire league, much less do the statistical analyses, but I find it interesting that your list excludes guys who are perennially thought of as elite (Brady, Brees, ARod) and is almost entirely guys who most people would consider real reaches as classified as ELITE (Only Mahomes a no-brainer)

EDIT: Maybe "Conventional Wisdom" considers real reaches instead of "most people"

Holy S, this Pats/Texans game is uuuuuuuuuuuge. Texans win, Bills hold the key to the division? You gotta go pretty far down on the tiebreakers if Bills win out. Same Division, same head to head. Bills would have better Conference record. Wouldn’t be the first time the goal posts came down after a Jets game.

JT Compher 14 points this season.

I think common opponent is after head to head. Bills already have 2 conference losses as well.
