I don’t see anyone from outside the organization getting hired this year. Looks like Tre has endorsed Ward with giving him the reigns in Buffalo.

Well that made it easy for the Flames. I wonder how it would have went if they were leading the Pacific and were on a role. I sure hope all the poop I did in the 80"s stays in the closet. Their must be some other coaches "deep remembering" over this and if anything can surface to bite them. Lol

Why should his motivations matter? If he made up a false story, you might have something, but he didn't. Peters copped to it.

Some say that akim is after financial compensation for the wages that he would have made in the nhl if he wasn’t given an unfair shake. Those same people like to say that he had his shot 2/3 years after the incident and couldn’t cut it in the league then. Allegedly akim has a history of not being a nice dude also. None of those change the matter that what happened was confirmed, but it’s unlikely money plays zero factor considering it appears to be heading toward a civil suit.

I questioned at first why he would have come foreword last year when bill peters was a potential coach of the year nominee and akim hadn’t played in the nhl for 6 years and had only played 14 games that season. But it appears that the marker incident had set a new precedent and standard.

Now the millionaire players have the power and control the league to control the quality of the on-ice product. Coaches/all staff will be like teachers who are now afraid to hug an upset kid for fear of a lawsuit and/or a sexual assault charge. Book it.

I saw Carcillo’s comment on shutter and while I think the guys a few screws loose and a goon from his time I don’t doubt that sutter was a hard a**. I have yet to hear anything on Crawford. Personally I’m expecting Tortorella to lose his job next. The precedence I’m curious about is will the league start enforcing penalties for their players and their coaches off ice antics. Will the league suspend players for actions similar to Patrick Kane’s cab driver incident/ROR drunk driving into a timmies/ or that Matthews incident from before the season. May not be soon but if this does indeed set a precedence these are things we could see 10 years from now.
