Crawford has either been Vezina quality or Beer League quality this year. No in between. He’s gotten sniped 7 times in 1.5 periods but 2 posts.

I am giving it tomorrow's game, then all bets are off.

Scoring chances are 9-3 and we’re at home and they’re missing 1/2 of their roster.

The Hawks can't skate with the Avs. The Avs contest everything and their speed makes the Hawks rush the play and consequently they look as bad as they do this game.

me too, this is sad. They belong in the AHL. lol A grade of D for effort and game plan. i don't understand it. We will see what happens tomorrow. Gus sits for KK. These games, can't tell if Hawks playing so bad or Avs playing so great.

Hawks are way too slow to compete with this team. Hawks just give the blue line and back in on every rush. CC with a couple of questionable goals against but overall lack of Team speed is
allowing Avs to have their way.

kane made a terrible pass on the 1st goal but he has been giving effort. As have Saad and Nylander. Misplaced, maybe but effort hasn't been the problem. Stupidity is.

They just got 3 of 4 points again a good and hot Dallas team - and hung with them and outplayed them in the second game.

They are hanging very well 5x5 with this better (even without Rantinan and others) Avs team and have outplayed them 5x5. If Crawford was the recent Crawford, they’d be in this game score-wise.

A bubble team, guys - but not a disaster like last season and two years ago. They’ll win their share and be in the race for the tournament.

He has been meh at best. He is not having a good game. No harm. He isn't ready to face the match-ups Kane has to face.

That line hasn't even been dangerous and that why we are now subject to the joy of watching Carpenter between those 2.

Hawks had 5 or so excellent chances in the last few minutes, glad they got that goal. Lets get the first in the third and give it a go.

There's plenty to complain about this game, but Gustafsson stand alone in being the singularly worst player on the ice. His offense last season could make up for his terrible defense but his offense isn't there this season and he needs to go or at least be put in the press box until he grows a brain.

Toews line should be benched in favor of the 4th line in P3. Debrincat headshakingly bad in both ends of the rink. What has happened to his hands ? He's getting more Saad-like every game.

CF% - 63.8% and plus-19. SOG - 27-13. Heat chart shows lots in the home plate area, leading to:

SCF - 25-13. HDSC - 13-4.

Eye test - they are outplaying them 5x5.

Yeah I don’t think it’s effort it’s the fact that we just aren’t that good, maximum effort or not. The talent isn’t there. Especially on the blue line. As well as a lot of our forwards...we all need to reassess how good we thought some of our players were. Saad isn’t a quality 1LW. Nylander and DeBrincat...how good are these players if we’re being totally honest? Strome is meh. Kampf and Kubalik....meh. We all know how washed up 19 has become.

Overall there really isn’t much high end skill outside of 88 and 77. And 77 is still so incredibly young and still learning how to play.

Yeah - let’s tank the last 55 games of the season.

Instead of possibly getting to the tournament and giving the young players - AdB, Strome, Dach, Nylander, Kubalik, Murphy, even Gustafsson, perhaps others coming up from Rockford - some playoff pressure experience.

Much better to have them continue to learn how to lose rather than learn how to win.
