That's a Colliton decision. 2 more losses vs St. Louis and Boston should be the end of JC. This team fails to hustle and compete. A coaching change has to happen. He's had enough time to put his stamp on this team. - Hawkytalk
I think it’s a lack of talent more so than effort.
No coach can be expected to win with this roster.
Our goalies are solid but the D core is awful and I’m starting to think our forwards aren’t nearly as good as many of us, including myself, thought they were.
Kane and Dach have high end skill. That’s it. And Dach isn’t nearly experienced enough yet to realize his true potential.
Bowman has put together a garbage roster that’s overall very slow and without much skill. Crippled by giant contracts to overpaid vets.
Bowman deserves the blame for this mess, not the coaching. |

Best player on this team is Robin Lehner
Odds of him resigning here are close to zero.
Bowman won’t see March 1sr |

I'm not liking that Nylander plays 0 defense. I've been liking him less & less the more I see him. - I Am The Breadman
Nylander played so much better when he was skating with Smith and carpenter , just like saad was playing better with kampf.
Notice the trend here IMO it's toews who doesn't do anything to compliment these guys.
Great 6-1 can they just end the game now this is embarrassing |

With Peters as coach, better not draft that Byfield kid.

There is talent in the forward group. You are seeing what happens when a team with elite speed does to this crap defensive system. Avs are picking apart the scheme. The D we have are too slow to play the system. You adjust a system to fit the talent. You don’t force players into a system they don’t have the skill sets to play the system.

I thought the Hawks would come out with a more physical game plan like they did vs the Oilers. Nothing sadder than seeing an aging core thinking they can skate with a younger faster team.

Toews falls down two more times. Leaves the ice complaining again.

So does Duncan Keith make that much of a difference to the d corps? |

Aging core? Seabs lol. Toews and Kane are 31? Kane is in his prime still. The system is trash. And the Avs are a much bigger team. Not sure playing physical would do much. |

You also don’t trade Panarin for Saad, or overpay Seabs, and Bickell to the point where it costs you Teravainen. Or give everyone under the sun a NMC.
And you said it yourself, we lack the skills to play the system. Our roster is lacking on skill/talent. That includes the forwards. |

Toews is a washed up overpaid player. The first period he skated in turned and had the puck taken away.
His stats 25 gp 4g 9 asst 13points -1 |

Size don't matter just them knowing you are willing to be physical if they have the puck slows a team down |

Can’t argue with any of that. Bickell signing might have an argument but Stan could’ve signed him mid season for what 2.5mil? Or whatever that rumor was....

I agree to an extent. We saw Murphy try to be physical and Rantanen abused him. Also hard to do when the Hawks can’t catch the Avs in the Dzone. |

True, but they really never posed any kind of willingness to be physical yesterday and today |
