Never tried it.

I try not to mess with the sauce too much.

Okay, but call it something else, that’s not poutine.

Have to be careful. Weirdest one I had was a lobster poutine. Had Hollandaise sauce and green onions Pretty sure it was the most unhealthy thing I've ever eaten.

Guys on overdrive speculated putting hutch in tonight vs the wings. Then start Freddy back to back against Buffalo. Freddy would have about 6 days off.

I actually don’t mind that plan.

Actually had thought about this when I saw they had recalled Hutch. Not a bad idea at all really there or Freddy, Hutch,Freddy to try and catch Buffalo in that first game there and then make sure you take the second one. Hopefully.

Honestly just as long as the team starts to play like they have with more passion over the past couple games thinking we can probably take 4 of 6 points if not all 6.

I've read several goalies say that they like the idea of playing back-to-backs - they feel that mental fatigue is worse than physical fatigue.

Playing the back-to-backs allows them to "stay in the zone" mentally, and then have longer off to decompress.

It's a refreshing change isn't it?

We take 6 points, it gets us back on pace for 94 points.

I think you're going to see the Atlantic return to what we expected - Tampa is coming on, Buffalo is sagging, I see Montreal and Florida also returning to wildcard or below.

Hopefully Toronto can weave our way through traffic to return to our rightful place as the 3rd seed.

And then lose to Tampa in the 1st round.

Sigh.

i wonder how much say freddy gets in the matter?

goalies are odd birds. i'd be inclined to give freddy the choice.

I'm going to disagree with you, because I agree with you.

Goalies are odd birds.

Don't let them decide, because it's just one more thing they can worry about.

Tell them when they are in, when they are out.

Regardless, the statistical evidence on performance across all goalies simply doesn't support the idea that it's better overall.

Not saying it can't or shouldn't be done once in awhile, but overall, no. Gotta go with the stats on this.

I think playing Hutch on the second night back at home after hopefully two more wins is the move here. It's not a change, but a change this weekend IMO is a change for change's sake.

The Leafs have back to back, back to backs..

Buff Friday/Saturday
Philly Tues/Colorado Wednesday.

I'm guessing.

Hutch gets the 1st game in Buffalo and the 2nd game against Colorado

Floated the idea of an HB Dynasty league in the last thread before Lucas rudely launched his new one. PM if you’re interested. I know it’s a bit late, but maybe we can kick one off this year and keep it going. If anyone has any experience running a dynasty league, I’d also be willing to defer to you if you’d like. Kind of a fluid situation.

I think every scenario is different. This one could be a good one. Freddy has 6 days off. 4pm start Friday and travel isn’t bad at all. Then 7pm the next day seems good.

But if they were on a long road trip with multiple games in a week then it would be a different story.

I remember a time when goalies could play back to back and defensemen could play both sides.
