Can anyone explain to me what this Jarry guy is doing in our net? The puck keeps hitting him and not going in the net, Im not used to seeing this. - stackthepads
McCann wins faceoffs, Zajac doesn't score against us... a strange world.

So happy I was wrong about him after his first 10 games. Looks like a different player - Thorny87
We all were. That's why I'm leaving a light on for Galch. Looks like he's got confidence problems at the moment. |

Yea definitely, but if he doesn't work Ruth will move him. If he could move Brass he can move Galch/Bjugs IF needed |

I'd let things play out and give Jarry more starts. Make a decision in the off-season. Murray has been pretty inconsistent since those two cups. You can't pay a player for past performance. Market rate is 7+. Not doing that either if Jarry looks credible throughout the season. |

My fondness of Kahun grows every game. What a pick up. I like him with and without puck equally. - MattStrat
Even though I love Kahun and McCann together, I'd still be curious about seeing him with Sid and Jake. And McCann with Malkin and Rust for a stacked top 6.
I think spreading them over 3 lines is the way to go, just something I'd be curious to see. |

Same.
If Murray pulls out of his funk, I'd like to keep the tandem together. A lot to figure out with the cap this year with so many free agents, but they have an easy one cap wise in 2021. |

One of the uglier primaries you'll ever see.....but another A. I see a player with some confidence issues trying to find his way on a new team. Injured early and returns to a crippled lineup. I'm still giving him time. - madmike71
He gave himself an opportunity in the slot there but the Devils defender tapped his stick enough for him to drop it. Luckily Jake was there. He had a couple nice plays, some good hits but he was better during that 3 game stretch before Blandisi.
I thought Tanev and McCann weren’t very good through most of the first two periods but then really picked it up |

No reason to believe that those lines wouldn’t create |

As I continue to get caught up.. 6:30 remaining in the third and Tanev turns it over by the opposing blue line, it eventually led to him drawing a penalty but that’s just a ton of turnovers from he and McCann tonight |

Regular season-tie. Playoff play real hockey until it’s over. Get rid of the loser point andvthe 3 on 3 circus. |

Several people have commented and it has been very noticeable lately. Galchenyuk is not playing with any confidence. He had a couple of whiffs last night. He is going to need a puck off his backside or something crazy like that to get the monkey off his back.
Kahun is the exact opposite, he is playing with a ton of confidence. Wow that was a sweet move around two men and a backhander over Blackwood's shoulder. Both Hornqvist and Simon made very high IQ plays there. Hornqvist by going to the far side of the net and not getting caught watching the play. Simon by giving the puck up to a real hockey player. Much like he did in Letang's goal just the other month ago.

Alright. I was cautious with it but I am now confident in saying John Marino is good. I’m content with the right side this season and will probably be OK with letting JS walk this offseason if this play keeps up. |

Right there with ya. He keeps getting better.
From J Marshall
Some facts about John Marino last night:
No player was on the ice for more shot -attempts than Marino.
No player had a higher expected goal total than Marino.
No player was on the ice for more scoring chances than Marino.
The big test will be the second half of the season and fatigue. |

If NJD isn’t going to be competitive I would 100% be interested in Vatanen. Marino looks great but so did Maatta his rookie season. Fingers crossed he keeps it up but I’d love more stability

This team has so many depth guys playing significantly better than expected: Rust, McCann, Kahun, Tanev, Marino, JJ (I said it), ZAR, Blueger, Lafferty. A few may cool off (unless Rust really if Jake 2.0 suddenly), but this has the look of a true contender. Hats of to GMJR for reshaping this team around the core ...... again. |

This is what I'm worried about, at least for this year. It's a tough jump from 40+ games played from college to a hopefully long playoff run in the NHL. He could wear down though that's not a bad sign for his career. |
