Farabee is scuffling a bid. as much as I am not a fan of a line of JVR-Hayes-Voracek, I would like to see Farabee with Lindblom and Couturier for a bit to see if that can get him back on track. Keep the G-Frost-TK line alone of course and Laughton centering Raffl and Pitlick.

imagine Patrick in this lineup

Funny thing is I left in the 3rd to play a hockey game of my own and I literally did the same play. We were on the tail end of a kill, faceoff was on the opposite side I got sent on for the faceoff, won it to my winger for the one timer and he scored.

Flyers have a strong team. They just need to sort out the turnovers. One big difference I saw was they they were winning battles. Too often the team seems slow to get to the puck(Fatigue maybe) and lose the puck battles

Taking nothing away from Frost who has been spectacular so far... but TK is clearly the point producing MVP of the team right now. He just has the "it" right now that contains a little puck luck, a lot of hard work, and being right place right time...that puts points on the board. His contract looks like highway robbery so far. And I cant talk about his offensive numbers without pointing out how much better his all around game looks too. Hes making the right "risky" plays and reads.. and making them look easy.

one play last night he bad the puck along the boards skating towards the blue line. I feel like TK of his first few seasons would have tried to force a high risk play to the middle but this time he simply dumped it low and the Flyers ended up keeping possession. just playing a much better all around game.

Frosty looks good but konecny seems to be the straw that stirs any line he’s placed on. He’s just been tremendous.

Hoping Laughton will be in the lineup this weekend. Make the lineup a little deeper.

The pass from Frost to Giroux for the Flyers' fourth goal was a thing of beauty. Patience, vision, timing. And I love the set play for the SHG as well (Giroux to Frost). Could this be the beginning of a nice "two-man game" for the Flyers? Let's hope so.

Well Giroux's first 3 points had little to do with Frost. Didnt see the 4th but assuming that had more to do with Frost

-Goal off a sneaky pass by Konecny
-Assist on Provorovs PP goal
-Assist Shorthanded off a faceoff win

Can you remind me who scored that SHG?

I've lost track of how many sticks he's taken to the face and how many times he's been pushed face first into the boards. I wouldn't be surprised if he's fighting an injury...or even a mild concussion that may be undiagnosed.

Not claiming negligence or anything like that...I just think the kid wants to play so bad that maybe he is playing even though he isnt at 90-100%

Right now, Morgan Frost holds the NHL record for goals per game at 1.00. Mike Bossy is second at 0.76.

haha. I do think it's pretty cool that he only has 2 less goals than Hughes though, despite playing 18 less games. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Frost but Giroux won the faceoff and told Frost where to be on the draw. That goal happened because of Giroux.

So Frost shooting the puck past the goaltender had nothing to do with Frost?

If that's the case, then Giroux had nothing to do with his 2nd goal because all he did was shoot the puck.

That is exactly what some folks said. However, it obviously takes skill by both players.

I would say that shooting the puck past a goalie and into the net has a lot to do with scoring a goal.

Thanks. I had visions of the Frosty song being played after he scores and little snowmen wearing 48, holding a hockey stick as giveaways. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

With Laughton back soon I think they have as good a group of forwards 1-12 as we’ve seen in quite a few years.

I’m pretty happy that Frost, Farabee, Myers and Hart are all playing meaningful minutes.

Breakout season for TK.

Lots of positives.

Now get the vets going. Last night was better from them, effort wise, and results were there from G.

If Frost keeps this up, I'm gonna have to change my team/avatar/location over to him.

That was a much needed win. But why does this team continually have such major issues getting the puck out of their end and have so many mental lapses leaving players alone in the slot repeatedly? A lot to me seems to be speed getting to the puck and not moving their feet and instead just trying to stick check.

Minor miracle they made it out of the 2nd unscathed. Many canes had wide open looks in the slot. I would not describe that period as “keeping them to the outside”

yes...he has also been playing with vets that have been snake bitten to this point. He also seems a little hesitant when entering the o zone, but having players go offsides for the first couple would be goals probably didn't help.

Good to see AV and Fletch finally got around to the high skill lineup with Frost, Farabee and Myers here to stay. That was my pitch since end of camp. Speed and skill matter, not grit and intimidation. I am open to different line combinations as long as we try to get the older vets going. The younger vets doing great. Still need more from all but G. And before last night even G was playing below potential. Now some nights the kids will muck up, and might earn a game in press box. But they all should be up with the big club for the duration. Dont need the likes of Bunnaman or Twarn or Misha or Hagg taking one of their spots.
Can any of the vets be sent to LV for not a conditioning stint but a confidence stint? I am not aware of how their contracts work.
