If Dubas is willing to recognise he was wrong about Nylander and Ceci - I have hope again for the team. Doubt it will happen though.
People say Babcock is stubborn, but Dubas seems worse.
And on top of that, he seems like a slimey rat.
"I blame myself for not having been able to solve the disagreements with Mike" (paraphrasing) is such a weasly statement. If you really thought it mattered, you would have actually tried to solve it - instead of that, you threw Babcock under the bus several times. - MaximusAurelius

Back to back coming against buffalo next week. Then not again until dec 20th.
I think kabackup should get a 2-3 games in before the new year. Gotts give him a fair shot to see why he is.
The pens game was a debacle. - Tumbleweed
Ya give him a midweek game against a weaker team. Give Andersen a longer break like from sun-Thursday type of thing.
Plus give the backup a team that isn’t tired. |

Gotta wonder...I have no idea and it’s pure speculation.
But with the first game without Babs and Barrie is put on the first PP with Rielly...2 D...did Mcfflaran want this all along? Was Babs the guy not letting him do this? Sure sounds like a stubborn Babs thing to do.
Either way I’m happy to see a big change in the PP after a calendar year of failure and not trying anything new other than switching Marner and Matthews. |

Andersen has not historically been a good B2B goalie.
In his career he has played in 10 B2B games, 7 with the Ducks, and 3 with the Leafs.
He is 3.37 with an .894%.
He's 1-2 with a GAA of 3.39 with the Leafs with a .911% in those 3 games, allowing 4 goals, 1 goal, and 5 goals.
Is a tired Andersen better than a rested sub-par backup? Probably not when you factor in the muscle fatigue and increased injury risk and so on. I'm guessing that's why he started 0 B2B games last year.

In all fairness, he kinda deserves an award for getting them to not allow the first goal of the game for once. |

He is going to be used there.
At least to try...something people have been screaming to try for a while now.
It doesn’t have to work but you have to try when your PP has sucked for a year. |

Andersen talked about it before the year he wants to be well rested for playoffs.
I think we won’t see Andersen start a B2B unless it’s a must win game. |

Well the way things have been going, he'll get plenty of rest in April anyway. |

3 losses in a row ain't great, despite 2 of them being in OT.
I'm not too worried yet, they dominated large portions of those games and deserved better. They just lacked finish on their scoring chances. |
