Habs are 1 point ahead of what they had last season.

And that's despite Domi having half the points he did at the same time last season.

GO HABS GO!

- Scabeh

bad season for Domi to focus more on media appearances than playing games...

upcoming RFA... 1st line Center --- BIG MONEY, OFFER SHEETS,

now of course Lebrun won't mention any of this as his beloved Habs... he won't stir up poop there... but Dreger - who got female dog slapped by Shanahan - will go looking for the next controversy to stir up...

"welcome to the spring and summer of the OFFER SHEET STUPIDITY"

I wonder whether Marner was in the Tavares-Hyman-Rielly-Mikheyev group of 'Babock's gud pros' or in the Nylander-Matthews-Barrie 'freedom!' group ...

Tyson Barrie: "That style that you saw tonight you're going to see a lot more of it."

Not so much drama but it seems the team will get to play with more of their natural talent but they are still expected to be defensively responsible.

- bryant

Babcock lost the room. The players clearly weren't playing together/ doing what they were told this season.

They looked good watching them live for the most part. Tavares line was meh (hyman is crap and needs 2 stars to carry him).

Leafs should get a boost for the next 15-20 games. The true test will be if they can keep it up in the back half of the season as teams start to make adjustments to them.

They still need to play more aggressively and force the other team to take penalties. The lack of PP's was mostly due to the leafs not being aggressive, not the refs.

We ran into marner before the game. He looked to be in a ton of pain and really uncomfortable walking.

He may be on the shelf for a while.

nobody is mentioning Brayden Point's stats decline so far... or Aho's 'lackluster' 17 points in 22 games..

or the fact that 'bad Lou signing bc of 6mln AAV' Brock Nelson has 19 points (8goals) in 20 games.

If Dubas is willing to recognise he was wrong about Nylander and Ceci - I have hope again for the team. Doubt it will happen though.
People say Babcock is stubborn, but Dubas seems worse.
And on top of that, he seems like a slimey rat.
"I blame myself for not having been able to solve the disagreements with Mike" (paraphrasing) is such a weasly statement. If you really thought it mattered, you would have actually tried to solve it - instead of that, you threw Babcock under the bus several times.

Nylander effectively played C last night. I don't know if that's new or what it really means.

Ok so grain of salt time...my record has been pretty good tho

So I was told that Babs pretty much lost the room at the start of the season by what he did to Spezza. It was kind of the final straw for a lot of the guys in the room. AM34 was also pretty much fed up with him and how he was being utilized and you could even see it on his face. (the meetings off season to try and smooth over the relationship) JT and Spezza are also friends apparently and JT lost respect for Babs for not letting his friend play on the game opener, considering he is a local boy and took league min just to come play here for his family. (JT is all about that kind of thing) Players only meeting, a lot of sentiment from the guys was pretty much to hell with Babs

You can kind of hear it also in the player post game comments last night.

Also when you watch the replay on Barries goal, the emotion AM34 showed, you could see how happy he was for him.

JT and Rielly went and had that meeting with Babs, and there were "disagreements" between JT and Babs...hence the call out to Rielly in his statement (who was trying to keep peace)

Dubas wanted him gone in the summer, but Shanny is old school and wanted another seaon before he even started to consider a change... But in the end, even Shanny saw what was going on and finally agreed. (had to go to the board first cause of the money)

again take it for what its worth, but this person has been bang on with everthing he's told me
