The undeniably ugly truth is that Mike Babcock was a much better coach with Lou Lamarello as his GM. I think that is not lost on Shanahan, and he surely must know that it is his neck that is now on the chopping block if this team can't respond to a new coach with a great track record.

It was a pretty interesting and good press conference, and thought it was pretty telling to how there was a lot of things confirmed that went back to last year there where people were like no there was no rift. Surprise surprise!

I think a lot is being made of old coach's here just because they have a previous track record in a completely different time of the game. I think Keefe can and will prove interesting and make the team better overall here and I do think he has a pretty good handle on things and will take a few games and all but suspect a good bit of a turnaround.

I think Babs inability to adapt and adjust, reminds me of Marc Crawford talking about it, and how he had to re-invent himself to some extent because how he was and how he did things didnt work anymore. Babs just was too rigid and especially if he didn't like a guy man that doghouse was just there. Holl is a prime example of his idiotic stubborness.

It was just time for the change to happen.
