Whether people want to admit it or not, we're just like the Oilers (with a little more depth) in that we are top heavy with Pettersson, Miller and Boeser. Outside of that only Horvat puts up ok numbers and he's VERY inconsistent with his offense.

Whatever you do, don't look around at the rest of the teams stats.

Colorado keeps winning (not yesterday obviously) without 2 of their best 3 players but the Canucks are up and down because their 4th and 5th best C have missed time. Still a long way to go...
- 1970vintage

I get what you are saying but it is not that simple. If one or two players are missing fine, but when 5 of 12 are missing you will notice it.

Even though we had a kink we are still sitting in 15 th spot which is where most people thought they would be. I expected a few spots higher is where we would be but fine.

It is a long season and winning or losing the next 4 games will not mean a lot one way or the other.

Avs suspect in goal? that might be their undoing, but you could say that about anyone.

True great goaltending wins PO series...but a healthy Av's team could field 2 #1 lines in the PO's. Dangerous.

How is Boston still that good? And lookout for the Sharks, surging a bit.

Still benefitting from Benning's scouting prowess.

Do AVs have the size? PO is a bigger tougher series. Teams Like Boston ST L NYI VGK Was are more built for it IMO

This is where it could get iffy. STL has shown they can get back to the dance. I'm not sold on VGK or NYI though. Trotz has the Islanders in a great position but depth-wise they still have to deal with WAS BOS and even TBL in the east. Tough roads just ask the Leafs lol

I think TBL will be exposed this year. I see them falling back about 8 spots or so.

Tyramkin should help our chances and hopefully we can get another gritty player.

I missed a big chunk of the game, but winning a game 6-3 on 5 powerplay goals and an empty net doesn't give me a ton of confidence that any issues have been resolved. It was a weird one but nice for some guys to catch a break and maybe they can build off of it

I think Bo easily has more offensive upside than Kadri, but I agree he hasn't been impressive so far. Almost like he's trying a little too hard now that he's the leader

I was shocked that they were able to get 5 PP goals last night, shows what happens when they move the puck quickly to open shooting lanes.

I am concerned with 5v5 play, I think the book on the Canucks is to play them physical, pressure the players immediately and they will avoid all contact, and turn the puck over.

I don't agree with the statement that Markstrom was giving out to many rebounds last night. There was 48 shots on net plus that amount all around Markstrom where he has to be reactionary to. I thought his pad work was great and when he could catch the puck he did. It's not like he is just standing there deciding whether he will smother or kick out the puck.

As I said last night it was Markstrom and the PP that won that game, Canucks sucked 5 on 5.

Agree. Just that you know that when Sutter and Ferland are back and ready, somebody else will be injured, and that somebody is more than likely to be a Tanev or an Edler. Jim will have his work cut out for him again this summer.

Very possible. However I still think they are a PO team despite their current record. May not go deep but can't see a first round sweep again.

Tanev is literally day to day on being injured or out for the season. Is what it is. I'll say Edler makes it to 50-60 games before he is shut down for the season.

Buying a TV today, Black Friday sales, does it really matter? Probably going 65”, Costco, Samsung, LG or Sony?

It does. Stay away from LG if you can and go Samsung or Sony. Samsung panels seem to last longer than Sony's for what it's worth. I'm looking at the Sony 900F 65" or the Samsung Q7-8.

I feel much better if it is a Dman (not Hughes) that gets injured instead of a Forward.

Comets have reliable D . In fact if Rafferty gets the call I think most will be quite impressed.

I knew Sven was not a good replacement .

I wonder if they kept him up till he has to hit waivers again and if someone in need makes a claim.
