I'm suffering with a bit of depression at the moment, but I'll shake it off.

He's having a really good year in Denver behind MAC, him Donskoi and Burakovsky have been great pickups for Sakic.
- Pacificgem

Man, Burakovsky was a massive buy-low win for Sakic. Mackinnon's been his usual amazing self, but when they get healthy that depth is going to be tough

They've been building since 2009, before we went to the Cup final, it's about time they were good again. That's eleven seasons ago.

I was thinking Sergie Shorokov ? Not sure of the name?

Its a couple days old now, but speaking of Shirokov...

Sergei Shirokov just scored a no-shot goal for Avangard on a breakaway. Nikita Kucherov made the move popular, but exactly Shirokov who once played several games for the Canucks taught Kucherov this move in CSKA

Have COL or DAL going to the conference final in my PO picks.

I'd be curious if Burakovsky can keep this up away from Mackinnon, because as good as Rantanen-Landeskog-Mackinnon are, they could put up 2 lines that are #1 caliber by separating them

I seen that . I was surprised he was still in hockey. Seemed like a decade ago.

Avs suspect in goal? that might be their undoing, but you could say that about anyone.

They also gave up a 1st rounder for Varlamov along the way, who turned out to be Filip Forsberg

I thought the same thing. Had to check to see if it was the same guy before I found that version of the link.

Also has to suck to teach the move to someone and then essentially have it be named after that guy

How is Boston still that good? And lookout for the Sharks, surging a bit.

The first line has been throwing out good numbers all of them hovering around a point a game . Hughes also sitting at 17 is damn fine for a first year guy.

Bo's numbers are close to a PPG even though something does not look right.

I will give Gauds a pass seeing he has been up and down and sipping lattes in the press box.

The rest of the team needs to pick it up .

Goal tending has been reliable.

Whether people want to admit it or not, we're just like the Oilers (with a little more depth) in that we are top heavy with Pettersson, Miller and Boeser. Outside of that only Horvat puts up ok numbers and he's VERY inconsistent with his offense.

Boston have good cap management , good drafting and good management . They make moves when the player has finished peaking like Lucic Spooner Beleski Boychuk

He had one goal in eight games.

He lit up the pre-season though, and all the slurpers were sure he’d score 50

bottom 6 should get better with rouss, sutter, motte, ferland back, that is 4 pretty solid bottom 6 players.

He's been the reason I've been tuning into games. I was pretty amazed with Pettersson last year, but the way Hughes skates is just something else

4 of our starting bottom 6 have missed a lot of games.

I can see that.

They still definitely need a top 6 player.

I do think some help is on its way with some prospects but you can't count on them until they are proven players.

I like Ferland but health is an issue. I am still hoping for a good trade . Some players also it is time to move on from.

Yes they have good asset management, despite the draft where they missed on a BUNCH of good players. They cut bait quicker than most.

Colorado keeps winning (not yesterday obviously) without 2 of their best 3 players but the Canucks are up and down because their 4th and 5th best C have missed time. Still a long way to go...
