Won 3 games in November last season. Won 3 games so far in November with 4 games to go.
Baby steps.
4 very capable wins. You know they will show Washington they got lucky and Philly sucks because of Lefty, Pacficgem and his other two alts and Pittsburgh is pretty banged up and Edmonton lost to LA - manvanfan
One win and you’ve flipped the narrative on its head. |

What’s going to happen in Calgary? They have some serious saddle sores. Coach fired? Player trade? Waivers? |

Washington - need a small miracle to beat them at home.
Philadelphia - exact same points as Canucks in one less game...toss up.
Pittsburgh - Malkin makes everything tough in the burg, another toss up.
Edmonton - More good than bad, but if they don't play well defensively, they'll lose #50shots |

Nice to see marky back to his old self, pp got some nice bounces. Got to get out of that quicksand 5 on 5 though lol. - Bettmanhatesus
Nice Mask again lol |

I think the only real good things about last night were Marky was back to playing well and we had people in front of the net last night battling.
Still a lot of issues. I will be glad when Sutter Roussel and Ferkdaddy are back .
Bo has not impressed me at all this year. The more I watch the more I think he is a 3C like Kadri without the grit. |

Hey now, I actually like Markstrom, I was just riding the guy because of his poor play lately. Lordhummer is the guy that doesn’t like Markstrom.
Two things won the game tonight, Markstrom and the PP, there was quite a bit to criticize on the evening also.
50 shots against
5vs5 play - Makita
Whoa whoa whoa Stripes never said I didn't like the guy just not clear if he's a true #1 yet. Don't be twisting words like #teamwhiner now lol... |

I think Marky made it much harder on himself last night than he had to – kept kicking rebounds into dangerous areas then making desperation saves. But, he got the result, so hopefully this builds his confidence back up. The team D needs to improve drastically though, was quite porous.
Sutter can kick rocks, he doesn't deserve the 3C with Gauds in there. Rous and Ferk will be very welcomed.
One guy who I've noticed more and more negatively is Brock. Gives up a lot, coasts, isn't great defensively... he makes up for it when he's scoring, but in these slumps he doesn't bring much else to the team. |

I agree keep Gauds at three 3 and maybe soon 2 C .
The team plays better with Sutter in the line up . I know he is a lightning rod for the fans but we win more games when he is in the lineup. I would play him with Bo or with Beagle but I would keep looking to Gaudette growing into a scoring line.
Markstrom struggled a bit last night but he also won the Canucks the game. That score could have been ugly.
I also agree with Brock but just seen a stat he is on pace for 35 G |

Losing a parent is tough and it has to weigh heavy on Marky's mind. I'm sure we'll see more ups/downs but good to hear he played well last night.
I know it's early but I really thought we'd see a different version of Bo now that he has the C. Not too worried but I sure wish he would toughen up his game a bit. I realize players play to not get hurt but man he hasn't blown anyone away so far this year. |

I missed a big chunk of the game, but winning a game 6-3 on 5 powerplay goals and an empty net doesn't give me a ton of confidence that any issues have been resolved. It was a weird one but nice for some guys to catch a break and maybe they can build off of it
I think Bo easily has more offensive upside than Kadri, but I agree he hasn't been impressive so far. Almost like he's trying a little too hard now that he's the leader |

Yeah Sutter can kick rocks (which would pull his groin and tear his ACL). He was brought in to stabilize things and take match-ups for Horvat and he really hasn't helped in that regard |

Did you check Kadri's stats? He has 32 goals twice and is 2 points behind this year. |

Admittedly I had not until you pointed it out
I think my view is based on my limited/sporadic viewing of Kadri and seeing him more as scrappy kind of complimentary producer (similar to how JT Miller plays), whereas my regular viewing of Horvat influences a little homer-bias and seeing some skills that drive play a bit more. I've tried to not watch the Leafs too much, so forgive my ignorance |

Bo has always been a slow starter, 2 game goal streak maybe a sign of the end of the slow start. |
