LA was 14-1 over the last 15 against Edmonton in LA and most were not close.

Wash, rinse, repeat 15-1

And so it shall be known that the heretic Sean Maloughney, first and last of his name, shall forever be remembered as the personification of hubris that hath brought doom to the doorstep of the Edmonton Oilers by his disregard of superstition 🙏 So has it been said and so shall it be!

This game shouldnt have been thought of as a sure thing but a must win. They need to stop playing down to their competition. We have lost to the wild, wings, kings, coyotes, and hawks so far and should have won those (with a possible exception for the yotes), we are a better team than all of them. Sharks and stars losses are acceptable. This has been a soft schedule for the most part and if we want to see post season we need to win vs all these teams so when times get tough and we are battling for a spot or home ice (if we can remain competitive that far), we can afford to lose 3 in a row. Losing to the Kings at this time is a true disappointment. Now we need to show up vs a Knights team that appears to be showing their true colors and the Yotes and Avalanche on their grounds. Losing tonight is really gonna hurt in the long run.

Although my team is in shambles (I would rather shave my nuts with a straight razor and immediately jump into a pool of hydrogen peroxide then watch whatever the hell it is they are trying to play, because its not hockey), this blog (if this is what blogging has become) and the reaction of the Oiler faithful that read said blog brought a smile to my face and helped me forget what a sad state my franchise is in.

Who would have thought that other people suffering would make me feel better!

Thanks Sean!

Is there anything more humbling than being a hockey fan?
I shot off my big mouth in September about how good the Leafs were going to be this year. Never learn I guess.
Good luck Sean.

Since when did WildSchwein do something worthy of a ban for a day?

Looks like we got a ref from another forum lurking about?

? Rafi dropped him, not in my dreams would i add such a sucker to my roster.

Btw., you got nice scoring yesterday (Hughes, Bertuzzi, ...)... now depending on Zib's status i will pull the plug soon (currently i lost 3 Zib games to you, Bergy-Backstrom 1:1; everyone injured makes it to IR - now Namestnikov immediately, just not Zib and Haula).
Better news out of chess world is, that Sasha (nearly(!)) made it to candidates... just watch this, guy is a legend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6ZDqUzGivU

Oh, you're right. It was Rafi. My bad lol

Yeah, yesterday was a good night for me.

Yeah, I heard about that! Also excited for the puzzles championship too!

According to Schwein, it might be due to a post in another thread. Only one day though.
