im still assuming he intended to have at least 1, most likely 2, trades of defensemen and gilmour was the bench depth
- robz228

I think probably 1, then Montour got hurt, and Gilmour beat out Nelson. This certainly wasn't the plan.

If we have to play a depth D for an extended period, I think the plan was always Pilut or Borgen over Gilmour or Nelson.

wanna trade homes for the winter
- robz228

Nah, my parents blazed out of there when i was still young. I loved the snow and the cold then, but, after all this time living here, I think I would die if I was ever that cold again for months upon end.

JUST OKAY WITH THIS? Do you know how good Johnny Hockey is? Plus Jack's best friend. In saying that, no way they're trading him

When the team doesn’t have a 2c and hasn’t since last season, while trying to smash a kid into a center position that he clearly isn’t ready for or experimenting with a wing that hasn’t played center in 7 years.... yes. Just ok.... especially for the assets it would take to acquire him.

Find me a vet center for 2nd line duties and a wing for the middle 6.

Which is a better use of assets?

There was also a remake, released last year or the year before, with Rami Malek and Charlie Hunnam that was excellent, also.

LOL, did you realize it before Mike Harrington tweeted it? You able to think for yourself or you just recycle tweets as if they were yours?

Well, it would be one thing if they actually surrounded said kid with Skinner/Reinhart or some combination of talent but god knows Curtis Lazar is the best they can do.

We’re just gonna Evan Rodrigues Skinner to death until he requests a trade

I dont disagree there. Some of the line combos are head scratching for sure. It still doesn’t make Mitts ready. Although it’d help

This just in, the St. Louis Blues have officially released forward Jamie McGinn from his professional tryout (PTO) contract.

Interesting... I liked him when he was here... I’m not saying to add him. Just found this interesting

I don't care if Mittelstadt is "ready" or not. This team is starved for offense, and the kid was drafted to provide it. If you're not going to put Skinner with Eichel, put Mittelstadt with Skinner, and Johansson if he's healthy. This "earning" garbage has gone way to far. When you've only won 2 games in your last 10, nobody's "earned" a thing.

I don’t think I said he’s earned anything. I said he isn’t ready to play center and hasn’t gotten better at it. And the coaches don’t seem to want to play him at center with any talent. So if he can’t play center and you don’t trust him with better talent to play there. Put him on the wing or send him to Rochester to play center....

The next time I say "you do realize" to someone for not knowing something that i just found out a day earlier myself will be the first time. You do realize you shouldn't play the high and mighty on something YOU JUST LEARNED yourself don't you? I suppose you look up the definition of a word right before belittling someone for not knowing the definition of the word too. Isn't that right Crooked Broadary?

Botterill has a plan. We got a good one. You remind me of Botterill. Breath in paper bags much when the going gets tough?

It’s been mentioned quite a few times on here that Botterill never said roster surgery.

No ones ever actually quoted him saying it either. So I’m not sure what you’re getting at exactly. You think that I was under the assumption he said it until today?

And yes I saw Harrington’s tweet, and applied it because yet again Jcrag was saying the exact same thing he posted 85 times in a row.

But go off 3ER. Any other TV characters you want to emulate Captain Originality?
