You're so right I tried, just as the Piles have tried to be successful in the last decade or three. |

No we dont, We have had those types of players in the past and they served no other purpose but as a bench warmer. The long list includes, Haley, Mcleod, Glass, Brashear, Boogard - Brukie
Agreed. Having a pest that can actually play, like Lemieux, is preferable to a goon taking up roster space. Those days are over. |

You are so right!! Hopefully he can add a little more scoring touch. 15g's from him would be a Godsend

At this point he's better than Sean right? That second go round Avery was brutal for us. Though I also thought Carcillo was sneaky good for us and if he had an IQ over 5 would have liked to keep him around. |

It's nice to have a job where I can do this while I work
Stick to being irrationally-angry about signing superstar players, it suits you a lot better. - eichiefs9
You must have a lot of responsibilities to tend too, must be a pretty important job!!
You are right I hate signing superstar players, although you being a Pile fan arent use to signing anyone of importance. |

Avery's first stint was fantastic, but he was terrible the second go around. If Carcillo had half a brain he could have been a good player instead of taking dumb penalties, great team mate though, and enjoyed him as a Ranger despite despising him in orange. Brashear on the other hand.
Didn't get the hate for Glass. He is what he is and I thought he had some hockey sense (although most of it got knocked out of him), was fearless, good team guy and even chipped in a few goals. |

Yeah, I don't hate Glass as much either. He exactly came as advertised even if we did pay him too much for what he did. |

Panarin looking good...the Tom Wilson act is getting old...we really need to bring someone in that can protect these younger/smaller players...The liberties he took last night were disgusting. - mattstake
Unless the guy you bring in IS Tom Wilson it would be a waste. Say what you want, Wilson is skilled enough to play and does so right on the edge. I think he has it mostly figured out, the guy is a force and him along with Ovechkin is a terrifying matchup for any team to deal with. |

Agreed. Wilson probably the only big guy in the league who can fight and fit in on the top 6. Has a good skill set. |
