Considering that it's a guaranteed loss if we go to the shoot out. Going forward i would talk to CC and say do you want the 5 minutes of OT or can you be ready for a shootout without any ice time - BetweenTheDots
Definitely sounds like a good plan - get Lehner and Crow's buy-in to that idea and should be good to go next time
Though I would hate to be Crow losing it in the 3-on-3 after a performance like Lehner put in tonight. He'd never hear the end of it from the fans. |

David Kampf, Dominik Kubalik, are not everyday NHL players on most good playoff teams,2 Of genius Bowmans moves.
Alex Nylanders compete level is like a Sunday morning pond hockey game on a frozen lake , does it look like he’s willing to pay the price to go after loose box which is probably frustrating his captain.
The rest of the league is catching up to Alex Debrincat and learning how to play him, choke him off , knock him off the puck, just give them a plain forearm shiver.
If Calgary or Ottawa wanted to trade me one of Tkachuk boys In a trade framed around DeBrincat going back the other way I make that trade.
If this team misses the playoffs there is no freaking way they can keep Bowman or Colliton past this season.
You’re starting to see three or 4000 empty seat every game, even though they are paid for this year, which they won’t be in the future. You don’t think Rocky and John McDonaugh aren’t thinking about that also.
You got rid of a Hall of Fame coach, sorry Scotty your kid has to go if there is no playoffs at the end of this year. - wonthecup10
nylander agree = light switch...on/off
depends how poorly they miss the playoffs...but it would have to be worse than last year...and i don't that...JC and stanbow will be here for the 20-21 season
adb and kane are trying to make a living off the cross/ice pass = not working...teams are on to it and so is the goalie

I missed this. Anymore details? - gifman
2:40 left in OT strome went off for a change and shaw came on...according to ref he came on early...from what i saw they let that 30 foot change go all day long
back ref call it immediately...video showed JC giving crawford an earful..but it could have been unrelated to the TDM...

Being on a line with Kane is not working for ADB and/or Strome from a goal-scoring standpoint |

I really like Toews and he's been a really good hockey player, unfortunately we need to either put Strome or Dach on the PP. |

You can’t look at these three point games like you’re playing horseshoes or beanbags ,all you need to do is get close to get a point ,they plain have to make the playoffs this year ,Yes it was a good game today, but it is still frustrating, well, maybe they do try this Sikura kid one more time see if they probably could put a soccer net up and maybe he will score. Can’t be satisfied with these goddamn overtime losses and shoot out losses. Need to show more urgency ( which they did tonite)in the 60 minutes and win in regulation. |

Another game of bumbling and stumbling puck play by Cat and Saad. It's (frank)ing brutal to watch, as bad as Gusto playing in his own end |

Rather than spend the whole summer with Goodman, I want Saad to spend his time with a shooting coach or an ophthalmologist. |

too late...saad has never been shooter/sniper...he score his goals from within 5 feet of the crease or he doesn't score...he misses the net more than #2 and that's hard to do

It's not just Toews, it's the whole PP. Hawks only have 9 PP goals all year. They are at around 13%, 4th from the bottom. Ironically Dallas at about 13% too.
Individual PP goals this season:
Pastrnak 11
Neal 9
E. Kane 7
Ovie 7
McDavid 7

Well just finished watching the game ,was a fun game to watch .Had to say with just a little luck should have taken that one by 2 goals . I thought the team put in a full sixty plus ,lose like that I will not complain . Dallas got some real breaks ,not saying I disagree with the disallowed goals they were very close .
HAWKS deserved better then a point tonight .Did not realize Lehner had struggle so in the SO ,hee got to get the paddle down sooner .Not in favor of switching goalie ,not great for Lehner physic ,or do I believe Crow would thrive . Be a hell of a move if they tried it . No more dressing 7 D please .. |

Bringing in a cold goalie to face dekes left and dekes right is a hamstring pull waiting to happen. |

Yeah, and it seems telling either of them to stop shooting the puck from way out goes in one ear and out the other... |

How long is the brake between 3rd period and OT, bring him in then, he can go into the locker room and stretch, btw how many goalies get hurt when the starting goalie gets pulled? Not many |

I can envision Colliton bringing Crow in for a shootout replacing Lehner. Crow pulls a groin or hammie and is out for a month or two. This board blows up.

Different in SO, all breakaways..... |

Baseball teams have batting cages in the clubhouse. Maybe NHL teams can have puck shooting machines that goalies can warm up with. If a game is tied late in the 3rd, send Cro to the locker room to warm up in anticipation of a shootout. |

Strome and Cat are killing the Hawks with their play. Whatever Nylander seems to have lost here lately, needs to be retrieved at Rockford. Brandon Saad couldn't finish in a house of ill repute. Try some other G.D. players or trade a few. This act is getting stale. |

Getting myself emotionally ready for another non playoff appearance. Damn I really thought they had turned a corner a few games back. |
