If i was coach going forward, Corey starts the OT period, if Lehner is in goal - BetweenTheDots
It would be an NHL first |

They discussed it before the shootout, and Edzo said you can't (not literally) switch goalies before the shootout. I think JC should let it be known before the game that it's Lehner's call. If he feels uncomfortable in shootouts, he can opt to sit it out. If JC makes the call, he'll always be wrong. People will either say he has no confidence in Lehner, even if Crow wins it, or they'll say he should have gone with the hot goalie who just stopped 40/41 pucks. |

Lehner didn't even seem like he was trying during the shootout lol. ah well. |

Can't fault the effort, but needed 2 points. Both goalies played great.
In 14 hours we can start b****ing about the Bears. |

But Lehner has admitted it?
Hasn't won 1 shootout this year?
Lehner would appreciate JC doing this

They're talking to Lehner now and he reiterates that he is just not good at them. Basically said once it went to shootout, it was [all but] over. Said he doesn't have good hands for them. |

Kane slashed on his break away in OT, but the ref was too busy counting players. That should be the linesman call anyway, what is the ref doing calling it? |

I always told my kids, if you feel uncomfortable doing something just say my dad says i have to be home or something. In essence make me the bad guy, I'm good with it. That's the coaches job a great coach has broad shoulders. |

It also doesn’t help when your 10.5 players can’t score during the shootout either. |

JC letting Crawford have it after that TMM call. Wonder if he is the one calling the lines/substitutions? - pdx2ord
I missed this. Anymore details? |

We all know this, yet JC gives up a point. Don't care what Enzo says that's why he's not a coach anymore, you have to recognize and acknowledge your personnel.
Like Nagy running Cohen on 3rd and short instead of Montgomery, WTF |

No just yelling and gesturing at Crawford in a rare showing of emotion for JC. He was definitely angry. I just assumed because of timing it was probably due to the TMM penalty in OT. |

What I mentioned earlier...Crow is slow to get into his groove this year in almost every game. Guessing that without a warmup even, it would be worse. Not saying he wouldn't be better than Lehner's 55%, but it's not a guarantee. |

David Kampf, Dominik Kubalik, are not everyday NHL players on most good playoff teams,2 Of genius Bowmans moves.
Alex Nylanders compete level is like a Sunday morning pond hockey game on a frozen lake , does it look like he’s willing to pay the price to go after loose box which is probably frustrating his captain.
The rest of the league is catching up to Alex Debrincat and learning how to play him, choke him off , knock him off the puck, just give them a plain forearm shiver.
If Calgary or Ottawa wanted to trade me one of Tkachuk boys In a trade framed around DeBrincat going back the other way I make that trade.
If this team misses the playoffs there is no freaking way they can keep Bowman or Colliton past this season.
You’re starting to see three or 4000 empty seat every game, even though they are paid for this year, which they won’t be in the future. You don’t think Rocky and John McDonaugh aren’t thinking about that also.
You got rid of a Hall of Fame coach, sorry Scotty your kid has to go if there is no playoffs at the end of this year. |

kampf into the net was not deliberate and in the flow of the play...BS call...
shaw was hooked...stop play and a penalty
saw a few more non calls i can't remember
got the high stick and jam play calls right; but i suspect shaw jammed it in but it could not be confirmed...
kubby gets that up another 2 inched and its in...4 shots and no goal
I though kane had some great looks...
i close my eyes every time kane-strome-adb have to play in the dzone = very scary |

Considering that it's a guaranteed loss if we go to the shoot out. Going forward i would talk to CC and say do you want the 5 minutes of OT or can you be ready for a shootout without any ice time |

Definitely sounds like a good plan - get Lehner and Crow's buy-in to that idea and should be good to go next time
Though I would hate to be Crow losing it in the 3-on-3 after a performance like Lehner put in tonight. He'd never hear the end of it from the fans. |
