All those optional practices - maybe they could spend a little more time practicing hand/eye coordination controlling the puck. The Hawks have to be the most inept team in the league at being able to control and/or retrieve a loose puck. The other team never has as much difficulty as the Hawks do. It's part of the problem with their passing - on the rare occasion the pass hits their tape it often bounces off like the Hawks player has no feel for how to catch the pass.

Wonder if Stan is having 2nd thoughts regarding Cat's contract.

Hopefully he'll come out of it but I'd venture to say that he's mishandled at least 20 scoring opportunities this year. It happens almost every game with either fumbling passes or shots.

Note to Stan.... don't be too over aggressive with Strome either.
I'm becoming more and more disappointed in his lack of production.

WOW......extremely poor effort there by Gus to keep that puck in at the point.

this team plays poor enough and at time good enough to lose by a goal...

2 things i still don't understand -
Why if a goalie directs a shot out of play, it isn't a penalty?
When a guy beats you, and you dive on the ice into the skates of the player with the puck, why isn't that tripping?

I guess the Eastern conference has paid off the refs this week, They have let many penalties go for Tampa.

This was Mcelhinney’s 6th game - in the other 5 he gave up 4-3-3-6-3.

He’s mediocre at best.

Like Mrazek.

But if you can’t put pressure on them, they look unbeatable.

I can see why JC had this team dumping the puck, they aren't good enough to protect the puck against better teams
